To be honest Jasmine, I doubt my Son In Law will know and I don't know either but perhaps someone else will. It's very hardy and comes every year, tall, about 3 feet or more. Oh and it must like clay soils.

It is a miscanthus sinensis of some sort. There are lots of different ones available, I have 'flamingo' which is a pale pink to start with. That one could be Malepartus I love them when the wind blows, and they turn a lovely beige colour as they fade to seed. x Tig

Just caught up with these lovely pics. I think the last one is a miscanthus too as I have one in my garden, it's never looked as good as that one though . Jillyx
