I think this is a great idea, the civic centre in Oldham greater manchester, has poppy images beamed on to it, it looks great, I bought a poppy pin this year, as I always manage to lose the paper ones, but, I must admit it doesn't feel the same, but, I'm still wearing it with pride.

Yes that must look quite spectacular Barbara. After all whatever we might think about Government policy, I am sure that everyone fully supports our brave troops.

Totally I've seen quite a few people wearing pins this year Barbara but I've not seen anyone selling them. My poppy always looks really battered by the time Rememberance Sunday comes along. Do other people buy 2 I wonder and keep 1 for today?

It was nice in M & S yesterday that at 11am they kindly asked the people in the store to stop shopping and stand for the 2 mins silence All the lights dimmed, the piped music closed down and we did just that Apart from a few ignorant sad people who took no notice
