Up here in the frozen north, the councils are actually giving people stickers to put in the window saying 'NO CAROL SINGERS' what the hell is wrong with people, carol singers, I love them, they can sing outside my door, and if they know all the words I give them a whole £2 .00.

I love them too Barbara, but they don't come round much any more.

I don't know what to say to that Barbara I'd far rather open the door to carol singers than teenagers in balaclavas threatening trick or treat.

That must be so festive Barbara. We don't get anything like that out here in the sticks but in Uckfield FC trundles round the town in a lit up sleigh accompanied by Christmassy songs.

The title to this thread says it all, I cant believe it. We dont get any singers out where I live but they so have them in the local town centre a few weeks before C. day.

Unfortunately B the same teenagers who go round demanding money for trick or treat also turn up to sing one line of a carol and demand money for it. I stopped opening the door to them last year and lost my doorbell as a result. The little dears ripped it off because I got fed up of playing their game. I haven't seen a genuine carol singer for some time. I wouldn't mind them.

Yes think this is what the problem has been about really Genuine carol singers are no longer around but our Round Table come round every year which is nice i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

At one time of day the Salvation Army used to come round carol singing but all we get now is Santa via the Round Table.
