Sorry Jas, but if there's anyone needs a bit of help, let me know. Some are a bit tough. I missed a word form the first clue down as well, so I'll give it you to get started.
It should have read 'Remains of first Lowry sold is repaired'. I missed the word 'sold', sorry. Remains is the main clue; of, is and LS from 'first Lowry sold', first referring to first letters; repaired suggesting an anagram... fossil.
I'd hazard a guess that this is about on a par of the difficulty of a Daily Mail or Daily Express cryptic crossword.
