It's been a funny old year in the garden....but I was wondering...if you could pick 4 of your favourite pics taken this year in your garden...which ones would they be? just four....ooOOoooOooo.. The 4 plants or veg that you are most happy with. They don't have to be fantastic photographs or anything...but give a 'flavour' of 2009 in your garden ;D (and it might cheer us up whilst the rain's lashing down outside...) I'll start.... I was dazzled by this little beauty in Spring. and was delighted with this TRIUMPH! 4 years from seedling to flower! our best carrot crop ever.... and it was the summer of the bumble bee, we had a nest in the compost bin and the garden was alive with their buzzing all summer... just a snapshot.... lets see your 4 favourite pics then...go on...you know you want to...

What lovely reminders of warmer days FB I have struggled, but come up with these four .. One of the best performers for me Gaillardia Goblin .. Maybe the purchase I have been most pleased with is the brunnera 'Jack Frost' - I took this today and some folk will probably remember my previous photos of this marvellous plant - although I noticed that when we had a really hard frost last week the white veins disappear and they leaves are just green! My veg tray - with my lovely cauli which I was so proud of (thanks to CPB for the seed ) and finally the garden would not be so enjoyable without all the beautiful visitors that add so much more - hard to pick one, but this cheers me up with a good dose of sunshine ... x Tig

Well it was really difficult just to choose 4 but here goes... The first has got to the Mystery Rose that later became " Engelsgesicht". I am really proud that such a world famous rose breeder such as Kordes chose a name that was suggested by one of GWD's members. Plus the fact that there is only one rose in the UK at the moment and that is with Chuckles. One of the most surprising things for me and I will definitely do one next year is the Muscatel Sage Santorini - it is a dream... it has so many stages of flowering... and flowers for such a long time, bees love it as well. Christoph Columbus - the change of light is incredible... and I think the last one has to be my favourite Rose Augusta Luise which also has a magnificent scent. RF

I don't do veggies; just a few toms that didn't do much this year. Does that mean I can do 8 plants/blooms? ;D
I'll be back.

These pics are making me quite weepy somehow, it's seeing a little bit of people's souls somehow. Just lovely 'tho and they are beautiful reminders of this past year i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif My wonderful Eryngium which I've watched grow from a little baby this year. (baby plant from Tig) Lavender which my little Grandaughters just adore below the window box of little plants grown from cuttings or seeds. Cerinthe which I will never again be without, grown from seed. Part of my packed bottom border which was so colourful, including the Dahalia which I overwintered from last year. Gosh it was difficult to pick just 4. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif
