Some of mine do too JW but others ask me if I want them. I just wondered really if I should install this Java one or how do I get rid of the reminder which pops up every time I turn on the computer.

You can install Java with no worries LG, it just plays stuff for you. its a player if you want to watch things on your pooter.

As Barbara says you can download Java LG - there are quite a few things that need Java to run...games, 3Dstuff etc.
It is always better not to allow updates to be installed automatically - always either take the option to choose to update or choose to update and install. It is a very easy way for malware to get embedded in your PC.
