I shall very boringly opt for Ulster Sceptre once again as my main first early but may well pick up a second choice if I am tempted by the (usually) huge range at the local GC.

Oh yes, there's a huge antiques place at Battlesbridge isn't there?
I looked at T&M but they are saying delivery from December to May for potatoes - May's not on really for planting is it?

That's really kind but don't worry FB. If I see some I'll get them - if not I'll do them next year. It's become like a mission. ;D

Visited the local GC yesterday ostensibly to buy some wild bird seed to keep the little blighters going until the sweet peas and runner bean flowers are back on the menu. Also had a look at the dazzing array of seed potatoes that they had on offer in various sized bags to suit all requirements which is a great improvement on last year. Problem was that I couldn't remember any of the recommendations from this thread and thus came away with just the usual Ulster Sceptre. I did consider Rocket which I have grown before but will have a read through on here again and possibly even take the radical step of 'writing it down' before I go back to the GC again. ;D
