The wires would annoy me too JW, I can't even stand the sheets to be crinkled. For those of you liking a cold/cool bed, M&S do a range of "cool" sheets, I have them and they definately have a coolness compared to other cottons I've used.

I have an electric underblanket and a fleecy underblanket, the thickest duvet you can get, 2 fleece blankets, a velvet bedspread and a fur throw I never have my bedroom window open except when Im out. I cant stand cold I dont leave the lectric on all night tho, makes me ache all over if I do The only time I like getting into a cold bed is in the height of summer when its really warm - other than that No Ta !

That's what I like too Jenny - covers right up to my nose and the warmer the better, not the bunny suit though ;D.

I cant sleep in a lightweight bed! I have to be able to feel the covers on me. My Mum used to tuck me in really tight when I was little as I was on a top bunk - that could be it - security

Oh yes KL I remember being tucked in tight by my Mum - all those blankets and things Just as a matter of interest I like a really hard mattress - cant stand those that you sink into and those that "mould" to your shape <shriek>

I like a slightly squishy matress even though I have a bad back. Our friends have one of those Tempura matresses - they feel strange.

oh yeah, would recommend an electric blanket any day. (in winter)
When we got hitched and the bad weather started, I put my old single EB lenghtways in the middle of the bed. OH says, I'm not lying on all those wires.
Fine, next night I put it ALL on my side.
The night after, I was struggling to get even a tiny piece of EB so then we put it sideways across the bed, from thighs to chest.
I woke up on Christmas day with ice on the inside of the windows. Haven't seen that since I was young in the parents' house. Couldn't feel it as I had EB, HWB, kingsize 15tog duvet, double size 13.5 tog duvet and a quilt on top!
Can't stand a cold bed. Hate cold sheets. Only buy fleece sheets. Been weaned off my fleecy jimjams. Now a light sweatshirt and undies.
We got an woolly underblanket in Oct to attempt avoiding having the EB, but it didn't work, so we have both.
often leave EB on all night. Doesn't bother too much unless I've had a skinful the night before.
