My daughter, who is a fantastic cook, recently started a food blog, particularly for singles, with some really good recipes.
She called it "and the cupboard was bare" after the nursery rhyme, as she shops on a Saturday morning and plans to have an empty cupboard by Friday evening.
I know I'm being a proud mum, but it is worth a look.

I have just found this thread and although I don't eat spicy food the egg and chicken livers looked nice and the pear tart is something that I would consider making...maybe if the pastry was cooked blind for a bit before adding the pears then it wouldn't be so soggy..will try that.
I love the idea of making something out of nothing and will pop in now and again to check the blog....
