That Web site does not appear to exist so it is definitely a Malware thing.

owdboggy, Rosefriend, Jilly, Tig, Ladygardener, Chuckles, Barbara, rickypb, Sounds like your having fun with this one.,.,not. Not had time to try anything yet but can report I'm using chrome but NOT for GWD, I use FF for GWD....sorry for any confusion. My laptop totally froze up this morning after loading chrome and FF so powered down and now have Avira scan running. Not sure if connected to issue or not, I'm on hudl tablet atm.

That's interesting Chuckles, we were all convinced that it was a Chrome only issue. I've been siting here logged into GWD on IE all morning and nothing else has occurred, but it started as soon as I logged in via Chrome. I've got Chrome open for all my other usual work pastime needs, facebook, Mumsnet, e-bay etc and nothing has come up on any of them.

owdboggy, Rosefriend, Jilly, Tig, Ladygardener, Chuckles, Barbara, rickypb, That's messes up out theory about Chrome then, doesn't it...I had to go out but played on FF, IE and Opera as well beforehand but haven't got anything untowards... In a sense I am glad that it has reared it's head as I would like to know what this is - what has caused it...I even thought yesterday that it could be the backgrounds that I put on but anything for GWD I scan on my own PC before I upload to Photobucket anyway, plus the fact that I haven't got any problems. I lean on the malware as well owdboggy, - I want to know where it is coming from though.. I also put the Halloween smilies on but there again we have been using them for years and nothing has changed... Well done on sorting the Fiddler website out Jill and sending a PM to Ricky...hope it will help track the mess down.. RF

I am using FF and nothing has come up for me on this site. I did get one else where this morning (on Yahoo), but WinPatrol allowed me to say no and not seen it since.

I'll just be glad to get it sorted out so I can come back on here using Chrome, currently still logged on via IE & if I get the message proboards not responding due to long running script one more time rolleyex. The script would be long running, because it's taking so b*****y long to load a page.

owdboggy, Rosefriend, Jilly, Tig, Ladygardener, Chuckles, Barbara, rickypb, Haven't had time to be on laptop or GWD so can't report anything further. Not sure if this is useful to anyone but my scan today detected TR/Dropper.Gen Trojan and moved it to quarantine, screen shot of quarintine shows both the one the scan picked up today and the one previously

I'm just home & am chancing coming in here on Chrome, interestingly as soon as I opened up Chrome, my avast anti virus informed me that another program had added an extension to Chrome that could redirect me... remember I said that I had no extensions. Unfortunately avast isn't very good at giving reports I just had the option of removing it or enabling it, so I removed it & just checked extensions again and there's nothing there.... so we shall see. Glad that FF is still OK Ladygardener, although that was what Chuckles, was on when she got it. Could possibly be something to do with the way Chrome generates it's own adds perhaps, I've been on IE all day & been seeing some adds for some weird old things, but haven't had any problems. Just come back in on Chrome & the only other place I've been since I came in was Sarah Raven & now I've got Sarah Raven adds top & bottom undecidex

I have heard that there are some dear souls that actually like it...!! RF

Well all has been OK since I got in, so , Rosefriend, Ladygardener, if it comes back or rickypb, and his lovely team can't find anything & it looks like being an extended problem with Chrome, I'll probably download Firefox just for GWD, that's the browser I always used to use.

I responded to your 'notication' RF and clicked to come to this thread and immediately got redirected to the same link that Jilly mentioned, but I hadn't started Fiddler as it was fine on here earlier. I have it running now and will have a wander round.

Sorry Rosefriend,, haven't had a chance to install Fiddler on here yet, can't take a screen shot because if I don't close down straight away using task manager I'm bugged.
Will try again with FF tomorrow & if I get time I'll install Fiddler, but right at the moment I'm a bit p'd off & can't really be bothered, plus OH is doing dinner.
Sure I'll be in a better frame of mind tomorrow grix

It's OK it got me on my travels round the board! I've captured the data as per the instructions (I hope, got a 5.2mb file anyway) - and have just emailed it off to Rickyb - hope they can find the problems and a solution. I don't think it is just our forum, I noticed a couple of other Proboard forums with posts warning about web attacks and think those could be due to the same flaw, but folk obviously don't always report these things.

I'm back with some good news! With thanks to the two files I received this morning from Jilly & Tig, our ad team was able to track down the ad network that was distributing the re-direct and have now blocked them from serving further ads on the service Thanks again for the help in tracking this down!
