I have become the beneficiary of quite a few streptocarpus, from my friends Granny who died recently and she knew I liked them. So now, added to the ones I already have, I have sixteen plants! Most of them are labelled so I know their names, but I wonder if there is any way of identifying plants, once they have flowered?

I have quite a few of these plants P.It is hard to know which is which when they have flowered if you have not got the labels. I know the Crytsal ones have long slimmer leaves then there are ones with realy big lush leaves. I am glad i have all the labels on mine. They are lovely plants my kitchen window sill is full of streptocarpus plants.

Just found this thread. Strptocarpus are the plant of the moment - Dibleys are always on tv showing them. There is a lovely new one sort of cream and lilac - lovely. I would like some, what conditions suit them best?

Auricula go on Dibleys web site and they do sets of plug plants in a lucky dip you can choose the ones you want. I have done this twice thats were all mine started. They are small when they arive but in good condition but the following spring they are soon a good size plant and will flower all summer for you. I think thats the best way to buy them and saves you a lot of money. I bought a carton of dibleys strepto feed tablets to and shove one in each pot at the start of spring. Keep feeding throughout the flowering period to.

Last year when I bought it - I haven't changed the pot (more luck than judgement as I usually do re-pot my few houseplants) and it has some nice new leaves and it's been fed...perhaps I just have to wait...
