I've grown 3 varieties of cherry toms this year....
100's and 1,000's Sweet millions Balconi red (basket)
Now i've (foolishly) thrown the seed packets away but i'm sure i read that some of them do not need side shooting and you should allow them to grow.
I appreciate the basket one should be allowed to just grow but is anyone familliar with the other two varieties ? Should i pinch them out ?
Thanks

100's and 1000's do not need pinching out Andy - they are a hanging basket type.
Balconi Red - as you say is a dwarf tom (container) and again doesn't need the side shoots taking off.
Sweet Millions is a cordon tom - 4 - 6 ft and does need the side shoots taking off. You will also need to pinch the growing end out, late summer - after 4 - 6 trusses - I choose depending on the weather really. Otherwise you won't get the rest of the toms ripened.
