I'm going wrong somewhere, my neighbour and I have identical plants except that her's thrives in full sun and mine seems to wilt in the afternoon. It's watered regularly but not overly so ,any suggestions as to why it happens.

I have a ligularia and for years grew it under the canopy of an acer, it was rubbish probably because it was too dry. I moved it so that its roots are in a cooler position and top in the sun and last year it did really well. I keep mine well watered and because I've pruned the mahonia it is getting more sun at the moment and the leaves are wilting during the hottest part of the day, but they recover overnight x Tig

I have the one called Rocket and it wilts during the hottest part of the day as its in full sun but the roots are well shielded from the sun, and it does recover when it gets cooler. I dont think you are doing anything wrong Beanie, maybe where yours is it is hotter than where your neighbours is ;D dont worry it will be OK by the way what colour is the Othello please?

Thanks Tig I'm being tempted to move mine now to an area where the roots will be shaded if I can get a big enough root ball. Carolann mine is a deep yellow. I also have the rocket an m ine tends to wilt as well
