Roll up, roll up...Invertebrates Welcome....

I was a bit bored at the weekend and spent a bit of time playing with some old cracked pots, straw, cut up bamboo canes, pebbles and fir cones. I really like the wildlife habitats that I've seen at shows, made out of old pallets etc, but I haven't got the room in our small garden. I nicked an old wooden box OH used to use for some of his tools...and had a lot of fun making my own version.





there are spiders in there already.....

Mine were made from off-cuts of wood a bit a shed roof felt and bamboo edging......

You know you've given me an idea for the Grandchildren this weekend. We saw some at the show we went to last time they were up and Hannah thought they were great. We'll see what I can find. You two have great looking des res's. ;D

The spider is SO HUGE that I dursent poke about ...altho there are lots of little gaps and crevices for the critters to crawl into...

WOW they are both brilliant. Love the way you used the old pots CPB. I came across one of those house bricks with the holes that go right through the other day, something I could maybe use as part of an insect hotel ;D

Unfortunately we did'nt have time this weekend. There simply are'nt enough hours in the day with those little girls, I don't know how Jenny gets anything done ;D
