I've collected a few colours and am wondering if they will overwinter in a cold greenhouse or would I be better taking cuttings and overwintering the smaller plants in the house

I would say that it would be too cold to overwinter them outside tbh Beanie. Can you take cuttings perhaps or take them inside.....whitefly can be a problem during the winter apparently.

You want to treat them like palargoniums....keep em cool (frost free) on the dry side and i'd also cut them back a bit. You can take cuttings from the bits you cut off.

Thanks both for the tips. I'm trying to keep space in the greenhouse if I can, there's still an awful lot to go in there when it gets colder so cutting them back will help. maybe another greenhouse would help but I can't spare the space

You have prompted me to lift mine and stick them in the plastic growhouse! They would have died for sure left out so it will be interested to see if there is anything other than a gooey mess come spring!

Oh dear Barbara you was a bit late there, never mind eh. I tried to get some through the winter a couple of years ago I fetched them in the house so they would be a little wamer than the GH but alas they died not sure what happened but they seem to be nicer coloured flowers than the normal ones I will look out at B&Q next year as thats the only place I have seen them.
