Have to say I'm not really a crab fan but we'll see.

I'd never heard of Ling before, I see it is part of the cod family and described as having a very firm flesh. On our list to try now I've also noticed that they have been promoting fish on some of the early morning tv shows that have a chef on, not actualy watched them as the tv is just on in the background.

We love fish in our house.I usualy buy salmon and large sea trout which is fantastic they only sell for a short season though at Morrisons. Coley is nice if you make it into something dont like it much on its own. Salmon has got very exspensive now but i still have it once a week. Not tried Ling yet must look out for some. Coley sound nice in a korma i wish i had watched the program now. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/undecided.gif

Tinned tuna its a bit like the difference between the taste of tinned pineapple and fresh. I don't mind tinned tuna in a pasta bake or sandwiches. I'm sure you can get the recipes online snowy, you may even be able to watch the programmes, I'll have a look for you.

OH likes that Andy, can't bring myself to try them ;D Another fave of ours atm is smoked mackerel smeared with horseradish sauce and grilled, they are lovely with a salad and new tats. I was really surprised how the horseradish tasted, not hot as you'd expect but warm and sweet. Not something you would normally think of putting together but I can definately reccomend it

We get horseraddish growing naturally along our riverbank in Lewes. There's a fairly famous chef who lives in the town called Olly something or other who uses it all the time.
