I went through a time when I grew canna's - always had some in the garden and then I went off them a bit and only had one huge tub with them in....
One summers day we were sat on the terrace and heard a noise, like nails on a blackboard....awful - we then found out what it was - the canna roots had cracked the tub....incredible.
So make sure tubs are big enough or use ones that you don't mind losing, just in case.

Dunno but we couldn't get them out of the tub so we dumped the tub with the Cannas - never grown them since...

My 2 cannas are doing very well on the boiler considering it's not the best lit bit of the kitchen. I don't know what to do with them now as it's far too cold in the lobby for plants that have been on top of the boiler.

Gosh it's taken a bit of time but I'm starting to see the tiniest sign of green growth from one of my Canna. ;D

Mine, in the ground, are shooting - I have to be careful when I weed as they're very easily snapped off

This is my triffid canna and its smaller friend! I'm not sure what to do with the triffid - I suppose it could go out in the lobby but it'll be a bit of a shock after the kitchen.

I'm an expert with cannas, that is I manage to kill them every year and they never come back! I lifted two and put them in dryish compost in the growhouses over winter, neither it seems has survived. Not going to bother again unless I find some going cheap Good luck everyone, they do have the most wonderful lush foliage x Tig

Mine are in their pots outside now too and are doing well. I wonder when I should start to feed them.

Well it's the middle of July now and my Canna just did'nt do well for me. They're still only about a foot tall and have had such a miserable summer so far. How did everyone elses do?

One of mine has come into flower, and some of the rest have buds on them, but none of them are as tall as usual
