Whilst the new GH is under construction, my conservatory is bursting at the seems with seedlings...either ready to be pricked out or already done.
On top of the stuff i already have, 160 geranium seedlings have just arrived from Jersey plants direct and my dad has asked me to pot up about a dozen begonia tubers into 2 ltr pots.
So somethings going to have to give. Now my old 8 x 6 greenhouse is still up and useable but there's no heating in there....although i could run an extension lead and use a small fan heater to keep it frost free.
Do you think some of the hardier stuff such as lupins, delphiniums, strawberries and antirrhinums would be ok at frost free temps ?
Would you risk it ? Don't know if i have much of a choice to be honest !!!

I don't think that you have any choice Andy....I have to do this every year.
At the moment I have Chillies, Delphiniums, Dahlia's, Begonia's, some other small stuff and I have put fleece under the trays and over and then added another couple of layers as we are down to 1/2/3degC+ at night at the moment. The plants are doing very well actually but I am nervous each year that I will lose stuff - I rarely do though.
It is a pain having to unwrap and repack each day but I have no other choice - go for it Andy.

I'd say go for it. We're heading towards the last of the frosts now anyway, and it'll be sheltered in there enough from wind chill. My OH bought a small paraffin heater for ours which he lights as and when.

They should be fine Andy but to be sure just cover them with some fleece, my GH is unheated and I just throw a fleece over the top of all my little ones.
