I have bought one. It is quite a decent size but the only thing in it at the moment is the bbq (husband has it sheltering from last week's rain) I have bought some tomato plants today, they are a decent size so maybe.............. My question is what can I grow at the moment that will be "out" this summer / early autumn or am I too late for anything? I planted some nasturtiums (sp?) that is about the height of my ability............... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. NG x

Hope you've got it well tethered down NG, or it might be flying over the water in these winds Garden centres usually have cucumber, pepper and aubergine seedlings on sale now, and you can plant them into troughs, containers or growbags, etc. If you get some seeds and start them off indoors you could even try to grow some from scratch, although just a couple of weeks on the germination front can make a big difference dependent on how warm the weather is. I like gherkins too, for pickling and some herbs, basil to go with the tomatoes ;D x Tig

The only veg I grow is lettuce, I sow successively in a plastic trough in the greenhouse, also radishes are quick and easy. Flowers, buy a couple of each sort of summer flowering plants like fuchsia, penstemons, pelagoniums, osteospernums, gauras and things like that - you'll be able to plant out the flowers and take cuttings of them, which you can put into your growhouse and have lots of flowering plants for free You can soon sow seeds like foxgloves and aquilegia for next year, leave them in the greenhouse until they germinate and it keeps pests away That's what I'd do,but I'm sure others will have more ideas - good luck with it
