I keep mine in the ground from year to year FB. I think I lost some this winter but I'd put some extras in so there's still a fair few.

Bootiful FB - I sowed some dwarf glads - free from the GC - and one has some buds on the stem but they are listing continually and have to be staked and tied with string which isnt a pretty sight really

Have you tried using gardening velcro instead of string? It is much softer and seems to blend in really well with any leaves.

I bought some lemon coloured ones for my border this year but I've no idea what happened to them. I have a feeling they were planted behind something.

I had some Green Star glads one year - they were very unusual must remember to get some again - they are still in the ground and tiny shoots come up every year
Do you think I should lift them?

I've got to confess FB that it's pure laziness on my part not part of a plan...but it seems to work! ;D Me to Jas, i think we do a lot of stuff in the garden thats not needed, just because the so called "experts"say we should,i like simple gardening, bung them straight into the ground type, and forget ab out them till they come up i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cheesy.gif

I like the look of Purple Flora Jasmine. My neighbour a few doors up grows them and he's got a lovely peach coloured on blooming at the moment, I gave him a bamboo stick to stake it with yesterday.

I thought we had a gladiola thread. I leave mine in the ground so if they come back they do and if they don't they don't! These ones have come back and one is as tall as me! That's a baby weeping cherry behind it and Bonnie's furry behind underneath it! That is a bigunn Jas,as tall as you, must be 8ft then i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/tongue.gif
