I didnt tell the old guy as too late now and his dog is very very old It is his " daughter " and he will be totally devastated when she goes - some people who havent had dogs dont know the devastation felt when they die Mr Dante was very respectful when they met and in fact he is very good with other dogs

cute dog alright, but much prefer the short haired doggie. And a black haired one too, my mother rued having 2 Westhighlands when we were young! The sun used to shine in the hall door in the middle of the day and all you could see was the white hairs highlighted. My parents had a white jack russell too. Well, my father had it!!
At least the dog in my Mug's Gallery pic, was smooth haired and not-noticeable hair drop!
and I'd agree with the comment about it being a commitment. I am not considering another dog, not till the weather picks up.
They MUST be walked in the cold dark mornings and late nights too.
Oh yeah, the black jack russell. I won a giant chocolate Easter egg about 10 years ago in a raffle. Guess who was spotted have a right old go at eating it all in one session!!! The thing was as large as her body!!!
and she knew she was a bold doggie, the look of guilt when caught!!! ha ha ha.

Our friends dog ate an M&S choclate cake over Christmas and had to have his stomach pumped. He then ate 6 mince pies. He is very, very greedy!

I'm so pleased for you Jenny. I don't know what your office set up is, but would it be possible to take him into work some days as he is quite small. The block where I work has a couple of King Charles Spaniels that come to work with their Mum every day (they even have a small run outside their unit where they can sit on the grass in the Summer i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif ) & a very handsome Boston (I think) Terrier has just moved into the office opposite & frequently pops into my office for a cuddle. My SIL has the sweetest most loving Cocker Spaniel who she is going to allow to have a litter this Autumn & we are seriously considering borrowing a puppy to see how the cats get on with a view to hopefully keeping it as OH has always wanted a Dog. Oh Jenny - that is great news! There's nothing like the sound of little doggy feet pattering up and down in greeting from the other side of the door when you come home ;D Friend's dog is fine and not one bit deterred from eating everything that's not screwed down and may be his!

This breed of dog - related to Terrier - isnt greedy - I used to have a Yorkie and he was the same I put his food down and he eats a bit and then leaves it same with his biscuits - he just grazes on them during the day - whereas my last dog would lick the bowl dry No cant take into office but I do have a 2 hr lunch break - I start at 8am so flexi time is quite normal for me and acceptable

Awwwww Hello Mr Dantie!! ;D
Mum's Westie used to eat all her food in one go, now she can just leave it all day and sometimes it's 9pm before she'll finish her "breakfast". She's 10 now.
