I would pot them up individually Barbara but dont put them out till at least the middle of May up here you could be a little too early for planting them yet even.

Just had a quick look through the threads not found any on growing pumpkins but if you click on the links at the bottom of the home page then click on T&M and find Pumpkins I think it was page 3 or 4 but there is a bit on how to grow them on there if you want to have a look, sorry I meant to say sow not plant in my other reply.Up here I only plant things out at least a month later than they say on the packet with the Courgette/Pumpkin families, they just hate the cold.

Thanks for the link Carolann, They have only just popped their heads through, so will be a while before anything needs to be done with them.

I have done the unforgivable, I've snapped a pumpkin off before it was ready, I only touched it honest, and there it was in my hand, ::)it's still green will it ripen do you think? or should I just chuck it away.

I think it might ripen, it just won't get any bigger ;D Reminds me of a few weeks ago when I sharpened my hoe. "Oh, look at the edge on that." Then I cut a tomato plant off at the base Still, I did a good job on the hoe ;D
