I wondered how many of us are growing fruit trees in containers and if the recent bad weather had affected them, this is my pear tree which had two pears last year which was the first year I had it ( a reject from Homebase £3.99 ) but I'm hoping for better things this year.

What you need now is some nice sunny and warm weather to fetch out the bees to polinate your tree, its a very nice looking one Mowhay, I dont have any patio fruit trees as I have nowhere to put them but I would love a Cherry tree one day.

I've got a nectarine in a large pot. I dread to think what this evening's hail has done to the blossom

I have a small apple tree in the garden with two apple varieties on it - Scarlet Bramley and Jakob Lebel.
Then I had two minarette apple trees, a dwarf cherry and a dwarf plum which were in tubs but are now in the garden..
I have a dwarf peach still in a tub...hopefully for a few years yet!!

I have a little paint brush that does a very good impression of a bumble bee Carolann, I have a Victoria plum this year for the first time which I'll take another photo of tomorrow, I also have an apple grown from seed which my oldest granddaughter started off with an apple pip in a saucer of water about 4 years ago, it gave one apple last year but has just started to open it's buds which I think will have about 5 bunches (?) of blossom so hopefully more this year. I went backwards and forwards from the plum blossom to the pear blossom several times ( not doing buzz buzz noises !! ) so we'll wait and see.

We lived in a home in California that was on reclaimed landfill. I had to use a paintbrush to get my zucchini to grow ... I was an early morning "busy bee" and took a lot of jokes! I really would love to do a potted lemon here, the sunroom gets lots of sunshine and would shelter it most of the year, but it would certainly have to come indoors during the winter. Reading about all of yours makes me want to try at least.
