Can someone please tell me what this plant is please? It does have a large flower when it's in full bloom, I was wondering if I could take a cutting and re plant the cutting anywhere.
Thanks in advance

Looks like a delphinium to me - were the flowers down the stem? Blue or white?

Yes it flowers down the stem, can you take cuttings from this plant? And if so, how do you do it? I think its a pinky orange colour if memory serves correctly 😖
Thanks for the quick response.

You would usually take a sharp knife and cut one of the new shoots just below soil level, just move the soil around the base with your fingers so you can take care not to cut into other stems with your knife. A basal cutting usually needs to have about 10cm growth so don't take a tiny weak looking one. You need a pot filled with gritty compost (a clay pot is best if you have one), then pop the cutting around the edge of the pot after making a hole with a dibber or your finger. You can get four or five cuttings in one 6" pot, but don't take that many from a single plant, I'd take two at the most. The pot then needs to be put somewhere warm & light, but not in direct sunlight, and if you are able to provide some bottom heat the cutting should root quicker. Wait until you can see roots coming out the bottom of the pot then pot them on into individual pots and wait until the weather is warmer before planting them out Hope that helps

Good luck, don't have the compost soaking wet just damp, otherwise they'll rot!

Also don't forget that once they have flowered you can cut them back and they will flower again..

Never seen a delphinium that colour ...more like to be, a already suggested, ranging from white through all the shades of blue. Good luck with those basal cuttings
