Fireworks were good but I was dissapointed with my efforts so have played around with them ;D

Thanks for starting this thread Chuckles. If you hadn't have done it, I would have !! Interesting use of "special effects" on your pictures. I like the pair that are 6th ones down. The doctored picture looks a bit like a dandelion clock.

I hope you don't mind me posting a few of my own pictures on here.

I was reading the instruction manual for my camera the other week (as you do...... ;D) and I noticed there was a mode on my camera called "scene". Within that mode, there are several different settings, one of which is "fireworks". I didn't even know the setting was on there but I thought I'd have a play with it last night at my local display and its fair to say I'm extremely chuffed with the results. They didn't all come out well but here are a few that did......

Nightowl, depending on what photo software you have you can do all sorts of weird and wonderful things to your photo's.

FA feel free the more the merrier, it's like a GWD Bonfire Party ;D. Nice photo's you got you managed to get more colour on yours, not an easy subject though is it. Got one of those Firewrok modes too and I when I saw the example photo it showed I was well exicted, crisp, colourful photo etc. Dream on, the shutter speed slows down sooooo much on that setting

hence my dissapointment. Will need to play around, there is another display on locally tomorrow so I hope OH is game to go looksy ;D

I know what you mean. I was taking pictures the pictures as they exploded and finding that the speed of the shutter meant I missed them. I got it sorted though. The trick is to hit the shutter before they explode and then you get some good ones.

We just went to the ones in the village which I could actually see from our window but thought we'd make the effort to walk down the road and donate to get in. We could even see the bonfire from our window too, bloomin massive!!

I couldn't take any pics because the camera on my phone is cr*p lol
