I'm digging out the beds on the allotment one at a time. I'm planning on one a weekend for the next few weeks. This week's is going to be for squashes, but I'm wondering if I could get some spuds in there instead, as the squashes would keep for another week or two before they need to go out.
Is it too late? (presuming I can still get some seed spuds).

I don't think it is as long as you can get some seed spuds...I would certainly have a go, mine haven't been in long either...
After all we are in for a wonderful summer, aren't we!!!!!!

Any particular varieties you can recommend for a tub FB...fancy some new spuds and some later autumn ones.
Got plenty of those rubber tubs that builders use.

Great. I've made a start on the bed and so long as I can get some seed spuds this weekend I give some a go, otherwise I'll bung the squash in there.
Thanks all. ;D

Some people who have had allotments for years were just planting their spuds yesterday, and B&M are still selling seed spuds.
