Please be aware that people are getting this disease from not washing their hands after using compost, one person in Scotland has died and a few are poorly.
In Australia all bags carry a warning.

Legionnaires disease is caught by breathing in the bacteria, so washing hands is not the best solution really if the compost has the bacteria present (I worked at Stafford hospital when they had the big outbreak back in the 80's) This story broke in 2010 - here is some advice www.webmd.boots.com/news/20100304/legionnaires-disease-warning-to-gardenersA timely reminder with all this hot weather Barbara, thanks x Tig

It's just that it was a news item this morning, they said in Austrailia it's well known but not over here .
