i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cry.gif I have 7 beautiful plum trees in my front garden, and an apple in the back. Both blossomed well this spring, but are now showing no signs whatsoever of fruit. There was some developing a month ago but now it has all gone, and the leaves looking pretty disheveled. Any ideas what has caused it? They are all pretty old but I don't believe old age would catch up with them all simultaneously, and I don't believe that one single pest could eliminate all the fruit off all the trees. Particularly worrying as I am planting new trees - if it's disease then hellllllllllllllpppp!

I would say it's probably all this crappy weather but I've two apple trees with plenty on them. I would be tempted to look at pests and disease.

Nice to see you Slugger, it's been a while Our plum was covered in blossom, but not one fruit developed. Both apple trees were also well blossomed but have only a few apples left growing. Think as PDB says the weather has played a large part this year, both my plum and apple have been attacked badly by aphids which isn't helping, neither look very healthy x Tig

Hi Slugger - good to see you...different country but problems here as well..
One tree without one apple and the others with only a few....Two plums, one a blackbird got. Neighbours cherry trees are basically barren and the pigeons have go the odd ones that were there.
However we got a late frost and bad caterpillar problems - there isn't a leaf that is whole and if the fruit set it was promptly eaten by them...
One tree has got a few apples but with this cold, wet weather they have started to fall already.

We had an article on the local news not so long ago that the weather has done for the fruit crops in the SE this year. My trees have barely any fruit on them.

Hi guys. Thanks for your answers and thanks for the welcome too!
Seems like you all have the same problem - caused by weather plus aphids/caterpillars/some pest.
Quite releived in a way. There's always next year.
