Jenny sent me this pic and asks if this is a weed, I'm not sure but I've said to leave it as it's pretty. It should be easy enough to pull up when it's finished flowering. Does anyone know what it is? Jenny has made this new flower bed earlier this summer. She was doing a bit of weeding yesterday.

If it is don't let it set seed. It pops up every where here after it was grown locally as a crop

Thanks ladies, that does make sense as Jenny has farming fields around her. I'll tell her to pull it up.

It pops up in my garden close to bird feeders filled with mixed seed.

Jenny is always putting seeds out for the birds so it may have come from those. I've told her your replies and she thanks you all for your replies.
