Barbara, I love watching them. Jenny had bought a load of them before Christmas, I love that both Ruth's boys and Jenny's girls all enjoy them.

Silent Witness started last night and part 2 is tonight. I had kind of fallen away from watching it but am recording it and I'll see how it goes.
New series of Grantchester starts on Friday and Death In Paradise on Thursday and a new series of Vera on Sunday night. Good to see some drama back on tv again.

Thanks for the heads up Barbara. I do think some programmes are unnecessarily violent or bloody.

Silent Witness is always gruesome, I only watch bits of it, flick channels on the nastiest bits. Looking forward to Death in Paradise and Vera, used to like Grantchester but went off it a bit when Geordies character started being unfaithful. Brenda Blethyn was on This Morning while I was with SN, she does come across as a nice person in real life.

Derek watches death in paradise, it annoys the hell out of me for some reason so I was doing a jigsaw, SW isn't as bad as Luther that's for sure, we watched the last series never again.

I don't bother with Luther, watched one years ago and decided it wasn't for me.
Death in Paradise is a bit of a farce, silly characters but with quite well thought through plots. No unnecessary violence or tension, just easy viewing, which is probably why I like it. I've not quite taken to Ardol O'Hanlon yet, but it took me a while to accept Kris Marshall after Ben Miller quit.

I love both Death in Paradise and Grantchester....the village where Grantchester is filmed isn't that far from me...I keep telling myself that I really should go and have a look round 😁
I did miss Danny John Jules in DIP last night...

Yes, I'm not sure I really like him either Tig but I do enjoy the easy viewing of DIP. A bit like Agatha Christie or Poirot. I never got into Luther either.

I enjoyed the Christmas call the midwife. Luther is much too violent for normal people Missredhead, IMO.

Loved Call the Midwife - it is the year I was born and they appear to be now letting Dads into the room to be with their wives as they give birth. Still so sad to hear women were having to seek illegal abortions and all that entailed.

What's Nickys chap going to say when she tells him she's preggers I wonder. Keep flicking over through the most gruesome bits, I'll probably miss his reaction

I keep trying to tell myself ''it's not real'' but it does look it, the cushion has been used an awful lot just lately.

Funny you should say about it not being real Barbara, at one point I was looking at the heavily tattooed torso thinking someone went to a lot of trouble inking all that on the dummy, I deffo didn't want to see his 'bits' though, they could have used a towel as Ducky always does in NCIS

I found the new series of NCIS last night Tig, it's on FOX, but no Ducky, no Abbi no Tony, just Gibbs and McGee from the old series, the new faces don't fit at all yet.

We haven't got access to Fox on Freesat Barbara. I suppose the series will eventually make it to 5USA, although without Ducky & Abbi I think it must have lost a lot of the 'glue' which made it enjoyable. Tony had gone on the last series I watched, Torres and Quinn were the 'new' agents.
