There have been one or two telly related threads of late so I thought it might be worth having one thread for all tv related matters (that's telly, not the other type of tv btw ;D).
You can use this thread to discuss whatever tv programmes you like, what you like/hate on the telly at the moment, recommendations of "must see tv" and generally anything you like about telly !
At the moment, I'm enjoying
Dragon's Den on a Monday Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on a Tuesday Heroes on a Wednesday The Tudors on a Friday (although not factually accurate, I'm told - I don't know enough about teh subject to know one way or the other !) Top Gear on a Sunday
What are you enjoying at the moment ?

Whilst not wishing everyone to abandon GWD for half an hour, don't forget it's the final programme of the current series of Monty Digs It Up... ahem ... Gardener's World at 8:30pm tonight. Tonight Monty will be digging something up in order to make space for some tulip bulbs. ;D

Seriously for a moment.
I'm surprised to find that I am following at least the Saturday episode of Strictly Come Dancing. The standard seems to be far higher this year.
There isn't really anything else that merits a must watch these days, although I do like CSI Miami, and just lately have also caught quite a few episodes of Star Trek Deep Space Nine on Virgin 1.

There isn't that much that I want to watch at the moment - soaps - are too predictable or too far fetched; heroes was ok to start with, but I'm bored with it now; I quite like CSI and NCIS if they are not repeats, or to gory - I hate psychological thrillers - and violence, and blood, and gore!! , Doc Martin was OK - easy watching; GW - just in case there is anything of interest (but thats finished now); SCD is OK; QI makes me laugh; I do enjoy a good laugh - but no decent comedy series on the box for a while. Hope it will get better over the winter months!

Top Gear the one programme I won't miss. Apart from that I only really watch things like Car Wars/ Street Wars. Everything else I liked has finished. Cape wrath and Skins on Channel 4 were decent dramas. Drop Dead Gorgeous on BBC3 is good (and hopefully they'll make a new series.) The Visit on BBC3 is the best comedy I've watched in years and you've got to wonder why people without digital have to miss out on the good programmes:-/ Celebrity thingies and talent shows bore me rigid but I must admit to watching Judge Judy repeats if I get the chance Oh yeah. I don't watch it, but Bargain Hunt annoys me because yet more of our licence fee gets wasted ... Formula 1. Hate it hate it hate it. I may be using this thread a lot me thinks ;D

If it wasn't for America, I wouldn't have much to watch All 3 CSIs All 3 Law & Order NCIS Without A Trace I'll even watch repeats! Other than that, at the moment, I watch Dragon's Den, Strictly Come Dancing, Have I Got News for You, Property Ladder. And my must-see...............I saw the first episode of Coronation Street, and have watched it ever since. I love it ;D Also watch one-off plays/films if I like the look of them. And something shameful, probably, I watch The Royal and Heartbeat It's gentle, relaxing viewing, and the music and clothes brings back memories.

Unmissable - Top Gear I've watched their fantastic trip across Botswana twice now ;D ;D, and Jeremy's day out in the tiniest car in the world was hilarious! ;D Also enjoy Emmerdale and Corrie; Doc Martin was very good; and Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Q I, Buzzcocks and Have I Got News For You all good. Having said that, the telly is on all the time, so some right old rubbish must pass right over my head!

We watch The Tudors although it's more a sex-fest rather than a historical drama - my historian friend (her PhD was the tudors!!!) is horrified that we watch it At the same time I record Ugly Betty to watch at a later date. We LOVE Heroes and Top Gear too. Strictly Come Dancing on Saturdays and Sundays is a MUST at the moment but I don't often get a chance to watch ITT. We like having Who's Line is it Anyway on in the background while cooking and sometimes eating dinner - it's on Dave at the moment between 7.00pm and 8.00pm if anyone is interested ;D And if we are struggling to find something to watch there's usually some sort of Star Trek on a channel.

TV is by and large a waste of microwaves imho
Apart from GW and QI there is really nothing I am desperate to watch. And an awful lot I would go a long way to miss! Can't stand soaps, reality TV, medical "dramas". Don't leave much do it?

It doesn't dr bill. And I'm with you mostly, love QI and the honorable Stephen Fry but apart from that I hardly watch any telly these days. There's always the Antiques Roadshow but even that is losing it's appeal for some reason. Where have all those old black and white films gone?

I don't like the new bloke that hosts Buzzcocks so don't watch it any more. I'm the opposite, I like the new guy better, though he is an impertinent wee so -and-so, so I really don't know why I like him. Maybe I like the way he punctures big egos. Though he could do with the same treatment, I suppose.

Forgot about Buzzcocks New series starts this week ;D Never seen it. What's it about? Dr. Bill, from the little information I've gleaned about you since I joined, my guess is that it wouldn't be your sort of programme. And believe me, that is probably a compliment. I like it, as I've said, but that is because I'm an aging rocker.
