I absolutely loathe the Children in Need telethon. I support the charity ( I even wore a N*****h City kit a few years ago to raise money for it) but I just can't stand the actual tv show. I try to avoid it at all costs. I'm still enjoying The Tudors, even though the plague was all over in about ½ an hour last night FA x Saw this thread and thought.....Oh, something else about TV, can't be bothered with that , but for some strange reason I read it......my eyes drawn to the above from FA....... Wearing that kit is abit above and beyond the call of duty FA - even if it was for charity ;D, hope you didn't have to go out in public in it If anyone is interested I like Dragons Den (but I have a thing about Peter Jones and how tall he is!!) and I also like In search of Perfection with Heston Bleumenthal.....now, is he a genius or as mad as a snake?

I've only watched a few Dragons Den episodes and find it intresting but not compelling As for Heston Beauwhatsit - he's amazing isn't he? When he was trying to make the perfect burger he wanted the mince all going in one direction, and eventually made his own bread and cheese - WOW! I'd love to eat at his restaurant - what an experience that would be.

One bloke even shouted "up the City" as I walked along the street. I told him to f*** Off !!!! FA x

Something that's on the box just now is that little cutie Dr. Iain Stewart telling us how life on Earth began. You gotta luv him and the way he tells it!

'Weird Creatures' on 5 is fascinating. The programme about the Mimic Octopus made me say 'Wow' every 5 minutes. And the presenter of that is quite easy on the eye too

Still can't get channel 5 here (unless I get Freeview, and can't get that without a special booster aerial ) Dunno why it's so bad. We're hardly the back of beyond. Couldn't get it 7 miles away in Haslemere when I lived there either.

That really surprises me Nightowl, I presumed that Scotland was always the last to get things like that.

I just watched the repeat of "Earth : The power of the planet" on BBC2, all about volcanoes. Fascinating stuff and will definitely be watching the next one about the atmosphere.

That really surprises me Nightowl, I presumed that Scotland was always the last to get things like that. I think the Meridian TV (central south/ SE) area is going to the last to go totally digital as well, not til 2012!! Everyone thinks we've got it all down here, but we suffer, I'm telling you!! For a start everything is twice as expensive!!!

OH and I were in hysterics at Top Gear last night, especially when the guys were testing the British Leyland cars. I predicted that the door would fall of Jeremy's car when it was full of water ;D

I'd want a heck of a lot more for my money! But the tests they went through were quite amazing - I didn't think they bothered with really testing cars these days!!! That's an episode I'd watch again, especially because Jennifer Saunders turned out to be quite nice too, if a bit posh!

Anyone married to Ade Edmondson has to be a bit ... mad? ... ;D It was one of the better episodes this series. Made me feel a bit nostalgic for my yellow Dolomite Sprint

Made me feel a bit nostalgic for my yellow Dolomite Sprint Oh WB, I loved Dolomites though never had a Sprint (only dreamed of it). My first car was a Toledo, had it years and good as gold. Then had a Triumph 1500TC (Dolomite before they thought of the name!) with a Spitfire engine (no, not the plane! ;D) Lovely cars, soo reliable, and all that nice walnut trim! Would be driving one today if I could afford a good one and to stop it rotting to bits!!

Have now watched Top Gear which I missed on Sunday and it's definitely one of the best!! ;D ;D (though the Tractors one still gets my vote as the best! ;D) I suspect that the bits which fell off on the rough road might have been set up to do so and the handbrake test was hilarious (been there, got the T-shirt, still always leave my car in gear! but it is an old Rover! ) Changing the subject, Earth, Power of the Planet, AMAZING stuff!!

I'm starting to get fed up with Heroes, not knowing who are the good guys and who are the bad guys !!
I'd still love to have Hiro's power though. Being able to stop time and travel back and forth through time would be amazing.

Hehehe! That's part of it isn't it? OH and I get so used to working out a plotline before the end of a series/film that it gets boring. This is refreshing because we haven't worked it out yet! ;D

I see that today, at 2.45 and 8pm on Ch 4, is the 100 Greatest Family Films. Should be good for a nostalgic wallow while the rain tips down outside!
