Deutzia " Chardonnay Pearls" Some lovely colours torontotrini and you are catching up well with us all - I am still a tad behind the UK but getting there. Love the Deutzia - it would be good in my small garden I think. RF

It was a stick when I bought it but it has filled out nicely now. I think it's just young and should flower next year on this years growth Rosefriend .

Mine flowered great in the first spring I had it, even though it looked a bit scraggly when I bought it end of the previous season, but it did very poorly last spring; hardly any flowers at all. Don't know why, but it bounced back nicely this spring, so hopefully it will do the same for you next season LG. I don't know if you folks have to deal with the same kinds of pests that we do here (mostly the same. I would guess), but watch out for some little white flies around it. I think that's what got to mine last spring. Last season there were swarms of them around the garden and the deutzia didn't do well, but this year I've seen very few of them and it has done well.

Well done torontotrini! So much colour, the rhodos and azaleas must love your soil conditions. I can see you've been putting a lot of hard work into the garden and you are well on the way to catching us up and passing us by The heucherella leaves are lovely warm shades.

Fingers crossed torontotrini it certainly looks healthy enough. Your Iris are beautiful but I love the richness of this Peonie.

Yes LG, and the colours/shades are real; not just tricks of the light. It's really kind of different from the ones I usually see. I got it last year so this is the first season it has bloomed for me. I've forgotten its name (surprise). Thanks for the nom.
