I've just received my T & M catalogue..blimey they took their time, didn't they!! Pic of the Cosmos "Cupcakes" on the front - rather sweet, aren't they... Jenny is growing Cupcakes this year Rosefriend. She's growing enough for both of us I think, I hope.

Not sure I'll get any Rosefriend but I'll see how it goes. Most of my flowers I dead head to keep them flowering but I do try to leave one or two to go to seed but it does'nt always work out with the amount of rain we get. I tried last year but failed with double click.

Just found this thread and am amazed at the number of mistakes seed suppliers make, especially T & M. I've had a number of things from them and more to come, but thankfully they are plants. Surely they can't get them wrong. eundecidex

I have contributed product reviews in the past to a site called TrustPilot. I had a look at T & M reviews on there, wow... they are bad. Lots of complaints with responses from T & M that all seem the same. T & M are listed as bottom (ie, the lowest ranking) in two categories relating to customer care. When it comes to ratings from contributors to the site, they get 77.7% giving the lowest rating possible = 1 and 14% only 2 out of 5. TrustPilot isn't just a site for complaints, many companies get excellent reviews on there. I think T & M could be in trouble though they may be big enough to weather this IF they get their act together.

Ron I've struggled in the past to keep gentians alive, they like ericaceous soil best and since I've planted them in that they are doing much better Thanks, Tig, the RHS site says lime free, they hate lime. I will fork a little ericaceous compost in, I think. They don't add lime to compost as it causes ammonia gas to be released so what they are in should be neutral.

I buy from Crocus on occasion, Ron, and yes, they are a great company, so I'm not surprised your Gentians are so good.

I got my 'free' - just pay P+P - dahlias from T&M today. I thought I'd sell them on my plant stall at the school summer fair. I got Lilac Time, Duet, Colour Spectacle, Tropical, Arabian Night and Tsuki-Yori-No-Shisha. The last one is probably Japanese for 'You'll be lucky if any of them are the right thing'!

Jasmine, I've got all of those Dahlia from last year and Tsuki Yori No Shisha is amazing but Colour Spectacle is smashing too. You'll be hard pushed to part with any of them in fact.

They deserve the publicity. They responded quickly, Jasmine, and are sending new plants. This will be their third attempt. Can't say I wasn't warned by this thread. It's definitely the last time I order from them, there is no way those plants could have got like this during transit, they must have been packed and sent when obviously diseased. It's unacceptable.

Just whizzing through prior to taking BT back to hospital - long story - will fill you in when we break up - he's ok now!!! Looking to see how tall L. Real Dream grows and found this on the T&M site.... Shasta Daisy 'Real Dream' (Large Plant)Leucanthemum superbum, Chrysanthemum maximum, Shasta Daisy Hardy Perennial A lovely dwarf cultivar, Shasta Daisy 'Real Dream' is delightfully compact. This well branched Leucanthemum produces pale yellow blooms from July to August that slowly fade to white as they age. Just wondering how you can be a dwarf, compact, large plant
