I'm afraid I have never heard of most of them. I don't watch any reality tv shows so I'm sorry for hijacking your thread, but I was curious as to what an "all star edition" entails. Sadly I am no wiser but I hope that you enjoy the series. I assume, being young, you will be more in tune with celebrities than an old fuddy duddy like me

Fuchsia When I say all-star, I mean it lightly, they have all been on the show before, not that they are all major celebrities I've watched most of each series, so I do know most of them. Really looking forward to it.

The 5th is only one extra day from then too Ladygardener . MIL's birthday shindig will be on that day, wonder will I make it back in time?? Yes Fuchsia I watch the dancing one too, I love it. My kids and I were playing a game a few months ago and humming our favourite tunes for the others to guess and one of my kids hummed the theme for strictly! They love pretending to salsa and waltz.

Oops I got my dates wrong This is the very last Dancing On Ice and it'll be great to see how everyone gets on. I see Tod Carty is back on again so there will be a bit of a laugh as well.

I am sincerely hoping Todd Carty has improved Ladygardener. I know they like putting on joke acts, but it can be very scary to watch someone who is in danger of falling constantly!

I wonder has Auricula seen this thread. She's normally a follower of DOI. I agree about Todd Carty theinsidegardener I laughed so much at him that time he skated right out the door.

not me Ladygardener I tried to watch it a couple of times but 2 things put me right orf!! 1. All the men seem to do is carry the girls about 2. I can't take my eyes off the support tights makes it quite unwatchable I do, however watch proper ice skating when it's on the tv...... magical

You might enjoy this season a bit more Auricula, the contestants have all done at least one series and there are some skaters that are particularly good already. Once the few joke acts have gone it'll be a good battle I think.

I wonder why I thought you watched it Auricula , now that you mention support tights I do remember you saying about them before. I think this will be the best season ever, hopefully a fitting ending to the series.

As it is the last series and they have all had a little bit of prior experience (I exclude Todd from that comment btw ) there should be some good performances provided that none of them have an accident! I'm surprised Joe Pasquale is doing it again after moaning how painful his bunions were!

I was looking at the listings for tomorrow night and it's on twice. There's going to be a skate off right away instead of giving everyone a week or so to settle in. There will be 2 shows. The 1st show 18.14 until 19.45 and then the skate off at 20.30 until 21.00hrs. They'll all be doing the best of their previous dances. Exciting.

I'm just sitting here watching DOI and wondering what on ever was going on - now I've read your thread theinsidegardener I understand! Nice idea for the last show - to have previous contestants back!

It should be a good show if the overall quality of skating continues over the coming weeks. It could be any two out tonight as the public will no doubt vote for their favourites rather than the best skaters. Ashley and Jason didn't score consistently, so I get the feeling that their votes don't really count. Did anyone else think Sylvains face when Philip commented about 'how are things at home' was showing more than a little annoyance? I think he'd like Jorgia to be voted out tonight!!

Tig. Well he got his wish although he did'nt look at all happy did he. It was a really good show last night and I enjoyed it. Good to see them all again, I wonder will they all be doing the final tour. It was the right result in the dance off, at least Bonnie is skating a bit more this year. Hope that develops and it's not all lifts. I do like her partner.

Considering Bonnie is 49 I thought she put a lot into their routine. She was miles better than Joe even though he is a joy to watch just because he makes me laugh. I'm sure Samia is happy LG

Who was voted out...sorry I'm not keeping up with this. Will try harder next week - may even stay awake! There was an immediate eviction of the couple who had the least amount of votes. That was Jorgie and Sylvan. The next 2 couples at the bottom were Bonnie and her partner and Joe and his partner. They were in a skate off and Joe went home. It'll be the same next week with 2 more couples leaving.

Poor you Jasmine, you must have really wondered what was happening before you realised! A real blast from the past with the lineup. I thought Joe skated a lot better than he did in his series, so fair play to him. Gareth Gates looked a bit shaky for my liking, I am surprised he wasn't in the bottom.

Thank you Ladygardener. There seems to be...after a bit of Googling...a lot of controversy about Jorgie's pairing and Philip S's 'witty' comments. He has changed so much from the boy next door with Gordon the gopher, still, I guess it's what keeps the work rolling in! Have to say theinsidegardener that OH and I were a little confused...jetlagged and not sure what was going on!

I'm not a fan of his Jasmine, too smarmy and yet he's a bit bitchy with it if you know what I mean. It can really put me off people.

He's certainly changed Ladygardener and he's Twitter obsessed - I'm not sure our 'celebs' behave in a very grownup fashion on Twitter!

That's funny Jasmine, I was thinking along the same lines when I was watching Celebrity Big Brother last night. We always say that the people who go into normal big brother are fame whores and do anything for attention, but the "celebrities" are so much worse from what I can see.

I can't be doing with this twitter business although millions follow people on it. You're right about people doing anything to get the camera on them theinsidegardener. I've not seen last night's as the Tivo box is'nt working.

Some good performances tonight, I thought that Susanne & Zaraah were the best, Sam was OK apart from the early mistake. Beth was good but didn't shine. I hope Todd goes out, and the public could pick David or Gary I reckon.
