I think the theme is Elton and Whitney.  Stevi is beyond a joke now, he'll be on the tour and its such a waste of an opportunity that someone else could of benefited from

Ladygardener, I simply couldn't believe that STEVI is still in the competition! Maybe he'll be out tonight - I shall be screaming at the TV if he isn't. I felt so sorry for the group. His performance was so bizarre, wasn't it!

Just caught up with it this morning Ladygardener,Chuckles,Geranium, I can't believe Stevi is still there!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a dreadful performance last night, what on earth was that all about!

Ladygardener, STEVI is out, at last!  Can you hear me cheering?   OH reckons w haven't seen the last of him -and I suspect he's right. I admit he's a performer as long as he doesn't sing. I was amazed that Andrea was in the bottom two.

I was surprised to see that Andrea was in the bottom 2 as well Geranium and like you I'm delighted Stevi is out. I think he knew himself that he'd be likely to go. Perhaps folk did'nt vote for Andrea because they thought he was safe, I doubt anyone would beat him in a sing off.

Not really got a favourite LG, it depends on what they sing as to who I favour from week to week tbo Its anyones guess as to who will win really, have either of you got a favourite Ladygardener,Geranium,

I am finding I like Ben better and better each week,  Chuckles, Ladygardener. Simon doesn't seem to like him, though. I'd guess that Andrea will get a record contract anyway, and I think Fleur will win the competition.  She can do the lot - sing, rap, dance and perform so naturally.

Ladygardener,Chuckles,Geranium, I don't have a real favourite either but I'd like to see Ben do well. I think either Andreas or Fleur will win, I'm not a big fan of either but Ruth likes Andreas for the win.

Ladygardener, I think Ben is/was a van driver, but what job does (or did!) Fleur do?  Can you remember?

Geranium, As far as I know she's been singing in clubs and done a few tours with other bands. She was in X Factor in 2002 as part of a group called Addictiv Ladies but did'nt get through to the live shows, she made it to Judges Houses.

Yes she has and I think she's being set up to win or at least come close. I can't take to her 'tho and don't think she has a very distinctive voice. Ladygardener,Chuckles,Geranium,

Well, I'd agree, Ladygardener. I'd say It's almost cut and dried as far as the judges are concerned, but maybe the public will change things!

Yes there's always the chance that the GBP will put a spanner in Simons' works.

Well, what did you make of last night's performances, Ladygardener? I still think Fleur will win...but I like Ben more and more.  I reckon Andrea will get a record contract after all this, don't you?

I agree Geranium, I'd say Andrea will get a contract and maybe make an album of covers. He's not a songwriter 'tho is he. Fleur has done well for herself and deserves points for trying at least. Ben did better than they gave him credit for, it's hard to know who will go out tonight.

Well, now we know. I really thought it would be Lauren, Ladygardener,
Chuckles, but as you say, who knows with Joe Public? I was sorry for the boys - they're very young.

Ladygardener,Chuckles,Geranium, It was no real surprise to see Lauren and Steriophonics in the bottom two. I just caught up with it this morning. SP had been in the bottom 2 quite a few times and at least we know what the voting public think about them. I think perhaps Lauren just is'nt connecting, she's almost tooooo calm and reserved.

Yes, Ladygardener, and she's so  young that she could have more chances later as she develops.  I still hope Ben does well, although Fleur is more likely to win, I suspect, and the bookies agree, too!

I was pleased last night to see that the public have voted Ben through to the final. I was'nt at all surprised to see Lauren and Andreas in the bottom 2. He murdered O Holy Night. It's one of my favourites and he just destroyed it I thought.

You're right, Ladygardener - it was strange - just before he started singing I said to OH - wouldn't it be lovely to hear Andrea sing 'Oh Holy Night' - straight - to show off his great voice, and he did and it was 'orrible. Why muck around with a beautiful carol when he could have made it sound wonderful?

I still think it will be Fleur, don't you? (I still like Ben better though...)

Yes I have a feeling it'll be Fleur but I'd say that even if she does'nt win, Simon will give her a contract.

Chuckles, what did you think? Did you see it? Who do you think will win now?

Ladygardener,Geranium, It was a shame Lauren was voted off, I think she does have an amazing voice especially for her age but she's not quite there as in consistantly good.  I reckon some coaching and a bit more experience she could maybe be as good as Leona Lewis.

As for Andreas, initially I thought he was amazing but as happens with so many of them as the weeks go by they seem to dwindle off track somehow, maybe not thier fault, possibly the songs they are given Have to say his talking voice and visually when he's sing drives me nuts . I tend to listen to him singing rather than look

Fleur, good singer and all rounder, not been that impressed or blown away by her until her 2nd song, it was her best performance so far.

I felt for the boy band, forgotten there name already though.  I think they will or should get signed up for a record deal.

Ben could be the winner for me, nice bit of eye candy and he can sing

I'm not a fan of Fleur but totally agree with you here. It was a professional production and to me at least, confirms that SiCo are doing all they can to have her for the win. They may well pull it off too. Only thing is, as far as I know, she does'nt write her own music so unless they get someone to write her a real winner she'll not make a lot of money, doing covers of other songs can only take you so far.

I've always liked the tone of his voice but I'm not sure if he writes his own music either.........

They're all come such a long way from their auditions. I think Steriophonics might be the boy band you mean.

I've never been a fan of Andreas and I think any kudos he had at the start are long gone for me too.

Funny, I only found out this year that Leonard Cohen wrote Hallelua. I've always loved him both as a singer and a songwriter although I know some of his music is dark.
