I much prefer the L. Cohen original version of that song, Ladygardener, Chuckles. Have you listened to it? I do remember when Alexandra Burke and 'a.n. other' made a single of it and Ms Burke won! Can't remember which year that was. I agree about Fleur, Ladygardener, I'm sure she doesn't write her own music, but I thought Ben did? He certainly plays the guitar, doesn't he. Ben to win! Seems to be the way of it this year Geranium does'nt it. They've changed songs at the last moment every week! Hope it's a good show 'tho. The girls will love seeing 1 Direction and I do like Olly Murs.  Chuckles will you be watching the final? Jenny and Aoife will be here but I'd say Aoife will be watching the recording of it tomorrow as she's allowed to stay up to watch the end of Strictly but X Factor would be a bit too late for her. |

I've just heard that judge Mel B is in hospital and there's a 90% chance she will miss the final of X Factor. Each of the acts will sing 3 songs but I don't understand, with all the songs in the world, both Fleur and Ben will release the same song if they win! Surely they could find 2 different songs to release....  |

I wasn't surprised at the result last night, Ladygardener, were you? I bet Andrea gets a contract - he should. OH and I agree that although Fleur is an amazing performer, Ben's voice is better. Have you noticed that whenever Fleur performs, she's over-amplified? Her voice isn't strong enough without the mikes. However, we both think she will be the winner. Shame about Mel B. I'm not at all keen on Tulisa. They must have drawn a veil over her drug connections. crolleyes Oh, and I loved the group song with Take That! csmile |

It was a good show last night was'nt it Geranium. I enjoyed it although I stayed up far too late as Jenny was here watching it with me. I think the right 2 are in the final. There'll be no holds barred for tonights performance. Seems Mel B is in HDU awaiting the results of tests. |

Didn't manage to see much of the show, just odd snippets and I can't remember what I did see this morning  other than Andrea singing with Ella which I quite liked and him beeing voted off. |

I was absolutely delighted for Ben, Ladygardener, Chuckles - I think he's the better singer, although Fleur is such a good performer all round - apart from her voice, which I don't think is particularly 'special' or distinctive. Apparently, she's getting a contract anyway, so they'll both be happy, and Simon, of course, is laughing his way to the bank.  |

Geranium, Ladygardener, Chuckles, I only got to catch up with it this morning. It must have been an incredible experience for them to play wembley, they looked like they were having the time of their lives and will no doubt both do well. I was happy that Ben won 'tho as I'd kind of picked him very early on. I did hear Dermot say they had more phone votes than ever before, as you say Geranium, SiCo is laughing all the way to the bank at the sound of all those cash registers.

Geranium, Ladygardener, had a feeling Ben would win but you never know with these shows. Both were incredable last night, Ben got 57% of the votes and had apparently been in the lead from week 4 onwards in the live show, Andrea was in the lead for the 1st 3 weeks and Fluer had only been in 2nd and 3rd place. I loved the Uptown Funk song Fleur did, she has a great future ahead of her as she fits the bill all round, someone has said she could be another Beyonce. I thought Ben suited the winners song better somehow for me, suited his voice. Both quite different but both good. What we gonna do for tv on saturdays and sundays now

Oh dear, I can't play it - it'll wake OH up. I think I found it on Youtube yesterday, but thanks, Ladygardener. I found both Ben's and Fleur's 'winner's songs' and I almost downloaded Ben's - I still want to. It's going through my head! When you listen to them again, you hear the difference in quality. The right person won, for sure. I hope he does well in the future. |

I hardly recognised her, Ladygardener, and she was 'all right' - not brilliant, I thought. By the way, I did download Ben''s winning song, so Simon has another 99p in his back pocket - from me! cwink On my iPad I get a pic of Ben too, so I can have a little drool while I listen. cgrin |
