I missed it but I seem to watch the few things I really enjoy - Doc Marten and Strcitly - on catch-up or what-have-you now.

Some of them are showing real potential - Peter Andre lived up to expectations. I agree, Jasmine, we both like Doc Marten. Downton tonight!

Being Botoxed up to the hilt won't help his expressions much either!! Enjoyed both shows and all the comments on DS and the Guardian Blog ( how sad am I ? ) There's no one I'm really rooting for, nor anyone I dislike a bit like GBBO this year ( must be mellowing in my old age ) It should all be a bit more relaxed next week......keeeeep posting P.S. we think Doc Martin has got really stupid now and wouldn't watch it were it not set locally Downton has probably run its course as well, but we're watching both of them....for now

I'm the same as you Auricula, nobody I really like or dislike, not watching soaps or reality shows I've not really got much of a clue who quite a few of them are either, so I'll just go by how they come across on the show. Don't get the real hate for Peter Andre on some of the forums, he may be a bit annoying, but no worse than quite a few of the others that have been on it over the years.

I know, Jilly, he and Jamelia have come in for a lot of flack before they've even started!! I don't know the soapies ( Georgia,Helen and Kellie, I think ) as I don't watch those sort of programmes, also Jay from Wanted? ? ( no idea ) New professionals all look pretty good additions, but, Ola, Pasha and Brendan are still my favourites - although I think they'll all be gone by Halloween

Like you Jilly Auricula I don't know half the people as I don't watch soaps either but I agree, you do get to know them during the weeks they're dancing. I'm not yet rooting for anyone and have'nt had time to go on DS to see what's being said but I'm definately not a fan of Jamelia but I quite like Peter Andre. Brendan is still my favourite and I do like the addition of the new dancers. Nerves seem to have played a big part in their performances, some more obvious than others but fair play to all of them. It'll be interesting to see how many of them go on journeys Has Tess had surgery to her face? Claudia looks good and I liked the little jab about her fringe, obviously reads the comments on DS. Should be a good series.

I watched my recordings and really enjoyed it, apart from Jamelia who looked like she was going to fall over for most of her waltz if Tristan had let her go. The lad from The Wanted was sooooooo nervous, but I think he has potential once he relaxes a bit. Georgia & Giovanni appear to be a good pairing, brilliant jive for a first attempt. Jeremy Vines legs could have a series of their own

Don't forget that Zoe Ball hosts the programme "It takes two" on BBC2 at 18.30hrs. It's a good way of finding out a little bit more about the celebs and I do enjoy the interviews although I don't like all the padding out and silly videos they do. I'm not a big fan of Zoe either.

Marathon programme tonight....that's the evening taken care of then to be followed by a session on DS waiting for the spoiler

I saw what a marathon it was last night Auricula, if I'm honest I start to lose a bit of interest after an hour I've already said to OH that we can turn over to the rugby at 8pm if he's fussed about it.

Some of the contestants ( Iwan, Kirsty, Jamelia ) have an inflated opinion of their own capabilities methinks and have faces liked smacked a***s when they are criticised I loved Darcey's dress last night ( although Tess' and Claudia's were a bit odd ) I think Georgia, Helen and Peter are front runners, but there's a long way to go yet

I enjoyed last night, actually managed to make it through the whole show without losing interest, we both used one of our votes for Anton as it makes us laugh so much how pleased he is actually having a partner that can dance, and hasn't Katy got amazing legs. I don't take to Iwan or Jamelia either Auricula, don't mind Kirsty though.

I enjoyed the show last night and did'nt think it too long at all. Some folk were very good and others surprisingly funny. I laughed at (in a very good way) Ainsley and Natalie and thought their song was a good one for the salsa.
I'm really liking Claudia up in the pit, she's so much more natural than Tess. Did'nt like either of the dresses last night at all.
I think that from the male celebs I like Jay best so far. It's very early days is'nt it.

Such a good show last night I thought, very entertaining. I loved Jay and Aliona of course but I thought Anton's choreography was dreadful. Is he so used to having a celeb who is'nt much good at dancing that he has forgotten how to put a 90 second routine together!
I enjoyed Georga May and her partner too.
It's obvious at this stage that some people just have 2 left feet although I'm still enjoying their enjoyment of the whole experience.

I thought it was fair enought that Anthony went home at the weekend. His injury made his dancing look very lopsided and he did'nt seem to have alot of rhythm. Jay is getting a right slagging off on DS, I thought for sure his jive was up there with Jill Halfpenny's.

Don't know why Jay is getting so much flack from people on DS but they do like to have a good moan I thought his jive was excellent I'll be away this weekend so will miss the second programme in succession I'll catch up when I get home but don't have a favourite so far.

I think it's a fair enough comment that for the most part, every year, we do end up with the best dancers at the end. I was kind of surprised that Jeremy Vine was'nt in the bottom 2, I do like him 'tho and I guess a lot of people must be voting for him, was'nt surprised that Kirsty was in the dance off although I did think Daniel had improved over the weeks and did have a better sense of humour than I thought he would. I felt very sorry for Jay, he does seem to bring out my nurturing tendencies, Aliona's too from the looks of things although she's getting a lot of flack on DS for being wayyyyy too touchy feely.

I can't see Carol lasting much longer, she doesn't have a lot of hip movement does she.

I agree with you about Carol, I'm surprised she's still in and no she has no hip movement but she's not graceful in the ballroom either. I do like her 'tho I don't vote for her. I use the free online votes from the bbc, 3 for me and 3 for Jenny but it usually turns out that it's Hannah and Aoife who decide who to vote for. I thought some of the music at the weekend was dire, how could anyone dance to it. I was'nt surpised to see Kirsty and Jemilia in the bottom 2, neither of them have made much of an impression on me anyhow. I wonder if Jamilia will get the sympathy vote next week after her comments on sunday..... I am really liking Jeremy Vine, I can see a bit of an improvement with him and he seems like a lovely person who is trying really hard and putting in the hours. It might not be long before he goes home 'tho.

I gave Jay all 6 votes from me, Jenny and the girls last night. I thought he was undermarked, no way on earth was his dance only 1 point ahead of Jamelia and Tristian. I agree with someone on DS who said wardrobe need to get rid of the mens trousers with pockets. They bunch up and look awful. Speaking of awful, I think Kellie's outfit tonight was one of the worst I've ever seen. I really enjoyed Georgia and Giovanne, they had such life on the dancefloor. Smashing.

I did'nt really know him before strictly but enjoyed watching him and his enthusiasm was brilliant. He seemed to be very well liked by the other contestants did'nt he Barbara. Blackpool this coming weekend, I hope they get the camera work done properly as I often think they don't do a very good job on the big floor. I'm looking forward to it anyhow.
