One of the houses I pass when I'm out walking has these lovely little Snowdrops growing. The Prunis is my own in the middle of the garden.

They're not all grumpy - some of them are positively cheerful and the little one at the front must have its eyes closed!

Thank you for the nom Jilly, they are only in pots as they are all Ebay buys and it became clear that some were Grumpy and some were definitely not! The little sea of sad faces is quite cute though!

It's part of a plan Barbara , I'm very impressed with myself that I ever got round to it - it was bothering me every year when they came up!

Very sunny in the front this morning, and was so pleased to this little darling fully out, Crocus Tricolor Mind you I did plant 2 pots full and it's the only one that is fully out.

Gosh, that is glowing in the sunshine Jilly! Thanks for the noms Ladygardener, - I love all my snowdrops and they are popping up all over now - have to admit to being a bit grumpy every now and again but not today - the sun was shining!

Jilly, It's stunning, and so welcome. Funny how some come into bloom so much quicker than others.

This multi headed beauty was in bloom the other day on my plot when I called in for a quick visit. These Nemesia have lasted with a few blooms off and on over the winter, they're coming back now with even more flowers and the scent was amazing the other day when the sun peeked out.

Thanks very much Tig, it's mostly because I planted it up in good compost with food added before the winter so it has had some nourishment. We've had such a mild winter and where this container is, it does'nt get too wet. Out in the garden yesterday I thought I saw a hint of red/pink, sure enough, the little species Tulip Giuseppe Verdi, they're years old and much loved by slugs.

Lovely to see the Nemisias Ladygardener, I cut mine back and they're growing well but not flowering. My lonely Crocus has got some friends now And one of the pots of Lady Beatrix Stanley actually managed to come out all together for a change

This is a first for me - the tubers of eranthus cilicica I planted in pots last autumn were not expected to do anything. All my previous purchases of eranthus has resulted in zilch. Not this time, I have 2 come up (out of ten tubers mind you!)

Wow andy , they're wonderful. Well done on the eranthus cilicica Tig, I can't even get the common ones going (well I did find a few leaves today, but no flowers) & you're getting fancy varieties

All great spring flowers everyone. Well done Tig it's so lovely. I see a couple of little visitors on it. I saw greenfly the other day but I've left them for the ladybird who is in the garden. I'll be keeping an eye on them 'tho and squishing if they get to be too many.

Beautiful little eranthus Tig, I am just going to enjoy everyone elses. I think the mice/voles/shrews/something eats them here and all the ones Jilly sent me are gone and I bought swnaffleglanz (terrible spelling - just a guess!) from Avon Bulbs last year and was just left with 2 holes in 2 pots - expensive snack

Fabulous colour Jasmine , I didn't know you could get Rhodos that early. Snap with the Winter Aconties they obviously don't like us I did spot a few leaves in the border yesterday, but sadly no flowers.

That is a beauty Jasmine I never had any success with winter aconites until Jilly gave me some of her Mums. For some reason the s & s brigade leave them alone, but all the others I have tried either failed or became treats for slugs, even the new ones in the pot got munched - what are left are now contrasting nicely with blue pellets!
