My Mum's Magnolia. It really is stunning Jilly. The Magnolia Black Tulip that Jenny got me last year has big fat buds on it. I'm so excited and will post a pic when one opens.

I'll try and get them together Ladygardener! There was an article a while back in GW magazine about M's new book - he talked about how all his dogs are buried in their orchard - I cried and cried! Thanks for the nom - those daffodils were a few bulbs from Mum and Dad's garden before they went to Spain - I love having them in my garden!

It's smashing how they've come back and multiplied Jasmine. A couple of pics taken this week in the garden.

Thanks for the nom Jilly! I've got Hordeum - I know - there's treatment you can get for it How ridiculously exciting are little shoots of stuff you have sown though!

I've also got Hordeum a whole tray full all pricked out (now that was a job & a half), sadly I failed miserably with the Panicum in a pot (only got one solitary shoot) even though I sowed the hundreds of seeds you sent, luckily I also scattered a fair few, so they still might come up. I've got no idea what's where in my annual seed bed as it got rolled on

You've got to stop rolling about on your seeds Jilly! I haven't got any panicum either but I stuck both trays on top of the fridge in the lobby and I think panicum needs a bit of warmth - can't remember now.

Shame I can't take a decent picture. The hippy, hippy shakes do my head in I'll have to persuade my wife to be the official photographer ...

Beautiful Ladygardener, and you 2 are so clever growing them all from seed. I have to buy mine (well I don't, but I never get around to sowing any at the right time). My GC do I think they're called Biedermeier hybrids and they've got several different colour flowers on the same plant, I think they might be groups of seedlings (but I've never tried separating them).

Thanks Jilly you kow that's funny, one of the 1st Aquilegia I grew years ago, came from seeds from you and Jasmine. A white one which was very short lived (my fault no doubt) and a lemon one. I don't think there is a right time to sow the seeds but they usually wait at least a year or so to flower. Unfortunately getting manky leaves is a bit of a problem here but I can cope with that to get the flowers.
