Thank you for the nom Rosefriend, the GC had so many to choose from, I picked up this one first, then a pink one and then a double white and then went back to this one - love how simple it is - I have planted it so I can see it from the kitchen window!

It really is a little beauty. Olaf has a Hellebore show each year and we always went but I can't get to him at all now. When Gery comes up we go in June but that is the only time...I do miss going....mind you, it's better for my purse not to go - lol !!

It's such a shame Rosefriend, but like you say not being able to drive would certainly cut my spending down.

Thanks Rosefriend, we've had such a mild winter, the Nemesia only reduced flowering but did'nt stop. It's very sheltered where it sits on the windowledge where I can smell it.

I'm sure you're delighted with that display Rosefriend. I see you have a little visitor in this one. Some of my daffs are just peeking through the soil Rosefriend, there's plenty of time and they'll shoot up as the weather warms up.

This so lovely isabella, Love this Magnolia too in the sunshine Lovely Forsythia Ladygardener, good that we see it in other peoples large gardens as I don't think it would suit us, too shorter season for too much space I've found. Took a couple of pics of the Daffs in the sunshine yesterday. Baths Flame that originally came from Jasmine, they've increased really well, but I did buy another few for a pot in the Autumn. All the Daffs in the front garden, the tall ones were here when we moved in, all I do is split the clumps every few years and the little ones are from my Winter pots that I plant out.

Your Daffs are giving a wonderful display Jilly, they look really natural and happy there. I agree with your r.e. the Forsythia, it would never do in my garden.

I thought I would share a photo that I took when visiting Sissinghurst Castle and their wonderful display of Hellebores. I was pleasantly surprised with how the photo came out, as I didn't have my camera with me, so took it on my mobile.

Thanks for the noms, Ladygardener, Jilly. The pebbles do set it off, don't they, I think going for an alpine bed rather than rock garden was the right decision. They will all grow to at least 9" across eventually, some much more. There are 11 saxifrages altogether, 32 alpines in total. Should be quite a sight when they mature. I agree about the colours, deep and bright, they stand out even at a distance.
