The phlox is amazing this year Ladygardener, perhaps they didn't like the summer last year!

Well I think over here, the Phlox have been happy with all the rain, I agree they've been smashing Jasmine.

Dahlia "David Howard" just starting to open, it's such a lovely colour against the dark leaves. Tigridia at the plot. Ruth grew these from seed and I think they're very pretty.

Thanks Barbara, Jasmine, Is that Thunbergia too? it's smashing. Barbara, lovely pics indeed. Your beautiful Anemone is so tall and airy, the one you gave me is blooming now too as is the Elfin Swan I got last year for my birthday. I love them.

I had to look at the photo again Ladygardener! The thunbergia didn't quite get in the picture, the flower is phlox cherry brulee, they were seedlings from SR, they are supposed to have a good vase life although I haven't had chance to experiment yet! They are very floriferous!

Ah I see Jasmine, although I made the pic bigger I could'nt quite make out what the flower was. It's very beautiful and very unusual.

I keep them in the pot on the patio so they don't sit in the wet, we have clay soil in the front garden.

That's a pretty hanging basket Barbara, the dahlias are stunning and I love the sunflowers! Wish my sunflowers would get going!

The sunflowers were swamped by the squash plants that have gone mad in this warm wet weather Jasmine, so better to enjoy them at home, I'm pleased with the colour of the SR dahlia, I hope your sunflowers get going before it's too late,.

I love your dahlias Barbara and the hanging basket is so full, Petunia are great. You're right to cut your flowers and bring them home where you can enjoy them. I have 1 Sunflower opened, it's a dark one, I'll get a pic when I'm back home.

I have 1 sunflower too! I am going to aspire to enough for a vase - good idea to cut them Barbara, think the weather is rubbish with more rubbish on the way!

I'm going to grow toy shop every year but not at home, the squirrel bites the head off them as soon as they open. they are multi headed to only need to cut a couple, well this time any way.
