Anyone got a plaster? Just tried to have a look at Poppies tummy and am now bleeding profusely....... oooh she is evil!!!! ;D She HATES affection, you can only stroke her behind her ear if your arm is behind her and putting on the spot-on flea treatment...... She will sit next to you on the sofa in deepest winter if she is REALLY cold and will wind her head up your legs if she's really hungry but that's about it!!! Oh, and she has 4 white socks.... no stockings but they sound great! Archie, on the other hand, is my great big baby, I hold him like a baby, he isn't actually on my lap ATM, which is unlike him but if he's in, he wants all your attention. ;D We were told when we rescued him in 2000 that he was 3 and a half although I don't really know how they could tell this as he was a stray. Neither of them hunt thankfully and I am sure this has something to do with them being brought in every night... either that or they are just bone idle!!! ;D Another daft cat person ;D Archie looks like a grand old chap Skarloey, (they can tell roughly how old they are by their teeth) and the tabbies are beautiful Our "Madame" is fussy as to how she is fussed and OH has the scars to prove it She follows me around and has the most wonderful "purr engine" but I know that she likes the company and fussing on her terms only Jeffrey sitting tonight and "Madame" is on spitting guard the other side of the cat flap

Can I introduce The Lady of the House, as she is affectionally known ;D. Although she is really called Kaya (a track from a Bob Marley album), she answers to Monkfish too. She's getting on in years, and is abit of a bimbo really, adorable, sweet and much prefers being curled up asleep indoors than going outdoors.....although, if we are having lunch outside, then she may follow ;D Tricks will be performed for bit's of Ham, Chicken and Fish.......but only if I can be bothered!!!

Yep, she's a sweetie..... ;D Would you believe me if I told you Poppy will sit on command? Well, she will for a treat!!! Yep, I would!! My lovely Claudius (who was the most beautiful male tabby) would follow me round like a puppy and would sit on command, provided you then made a fuss of him . Monkfish, however, can't be bothered with that kind of carry on ;D She is currently reclined on the top of the stairs after a fish supper ;D

Out snapping today and couldn't resist this Sulking a bit - got a bald patch by her tail - happens every year when her winter coat grows for some reason.

I'd be a bit sulky too if I had a bald patch She's managing to retain her dignity though Tig.

Hi tig - its must be something about oriental cats - my Persian is moulting out her summer coat at the moment and is a bid bad tempered. She needs lots of extra cuddles at present - just when I have to go to work! During the evening she's straight on my lap for hours on end - very difficult when I'm trying to sew!

One petrified Cat! Inconsolable - trying to disappear into the carpet - wrapped her up to try and make her feel safe!! Neighbours are having noisy fireworks - poor thing doesn't understand they won't hurt her (still doesn't feel safe in the house!) x Tig

Mine have been hiding under the beds, behind the sofa, the airing cupboard and the wardrobes and have been running back and forth from one safe place to another. I hate fireworks

Oh Tig and Jlo, mine went 'to ground'. I didn't see them all night. Thankfully, they've all come home safe and sound this morning.

Glad they came home safe and sound Shrub, I always worry that they will be too far from home and get disorientated, thankfully they hadn't gone far last night, I'm hoping that there won't be anymore tonight.

We live on a hill and so have a view of the valley below and whilst it's lovely to see all the fireworks I do feel so for all our pets who just dont understand the noises. It's the same tonight and mine are nowhere to be seen, despite my calling them in.

My cat isn't bothered by fireworks at all. Probably because she knows no firework would DARE to cross her path!! She's rather a feisty lady and I have to watch I don't get bitten whenever I stroke her. We've had her 6 years now and she's 12 (she was a rescue cat) but I still daren't pick her up with the sharp end pointing at me! Here she is BTW. not as beautiful now as she was but we all get older don't we!

Made a mistake there I'm told. She's not 12 she's 13! My other cats, both Siamese, lived to over 20. She's 1/2 Siamese (the other half hellcat!) so I guess we've got her for a while yet!

Here she is BTW. not as beautiful now as she was but we all get older don't we! I think I had one of her relations SR! Her name was Roxy and she runied a 3 piece suite (by sharpening her claws on the back of it - big holes everywhere ) and the carpet by ALL the doors as all cats know that if a door is shut then you have to dig your way under She would wake us up by whacking us with her paw and biting our nose. Why I kept her for 22 years I don't know! LLx

Despite her age SR, she's a beauty. I used to have a schizophrenic cat called Poesy. She would come running for tickles and hugs and loved to be stroked. But, only so much. Then she would decide she'd had enough and give me a clout accompanied by a hiss. Gotta love 'em haven't you? ;D

I am very smug. I am smug because I have the last sunny spot in the garden. I am also smug because I know that she has not discovered yet (cos she is smiling at me and taking my photo) that I have managed to do a poop in the top of one of her newly-planted-up bulb pots!!!!

Sorry beanie but whenever there's a rectangle with a little cross in it I can never see the photo. There must be a way of doing it! Anyone know?

I think beanie may have uploaded her photos to photobucket and then not realised that they had to stay there in order for the links to work and show on these threads Shrub
