Obelixx - I just found this thread again. Lovely pictures of your cats, I just wanted to cuddle them all! The garden hammock one was gorgeous. How are they all getting on now?

Not so much an odd place (my lap), but more of a picture of relaxation - think you could say they've settled

Hi Dee How strange I was only thinking of you and your family today. Wondering how everything is going. It looks like Kali & Minx have settled in very nicely. They certainly look very relaxed. Alicat.

One of my Nan's cats loved sleeping up a tree, on a large branch though. ;D This is Blackie - she was a rescue cat she moved all round the UK with us, but had an awful death when she was about 15 years old This is Sugar and Spice - we had a labrador called Muffin when this photo was taken. Spice is sat in the dog's food bowl. Spice died when he was only 3 from secondary poisoning Sugar was put to sleep just over 3 years ago aged 10, she was epileptic.

I don't know. I took him on from a couple who were moving to Spain to retire. I've only had him 18 months.
He is very intelligent and very affectionate. He likes to hold hands.

My brother sent me this: vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1341028614Not mine obviously and you may have seen it before [haven't seen it on the board Rita - honest!] . Not allowed small furry animals as OH is allergic, but I grew up with cats, and had one as my best friend for my first 15 years. Don't laugh, her name was Bimbo! Her other best friend was next doors labrador, she used to go and stay every weekend.

I had a cat when I was a little girl called Smutty - I used to dress him up in my doll's clothes and wheel him about in my pram - honestly this is true Sadly no photos

My mum used to have a cat she dressed up. Makes you wonder why they put up with it doesn't it?
None of my cats let me dress them up. Well, Sammy used to let me put a bonnet on her but it didn't stay on long. Jo used to sit in the washing basket and let me pull her around the house.

Hey Sleepy your Merlin looks just like our Smokey, his Mum appeared at a friend's house in Nottingham & had 6 kittens, we had the two grey ones but the others were multi coloured. He lies around just like that but is watching the screen at the moment, enjoying the photos I think.

He he, had to laugh at all the funny places they get...mine do the same. Bagster like Rita's cat like to sleep in the wash hand basins....i think it's the shape and that they're cool. We have 3 and we find her in different ones! She also took to getting on the house roof for a while and watching everything from up there....i would be weeding and hear her meowing but couldn't see her, although she tried to get up one frosty day and slipped and gave herself a fright so that put paid to that for a wee while! I was just turning the corner when i saw her jump as i called NO but too late she couldn't get a grip and was free falling....all i could do was stand and watch her ricochet off the fence, the wall and the obelisk..thankfully she was just shaken but not injured.

We had a cat that used to jump from the fence onto the windowsill. That was until one frosty morning when she jumped and skidded across the windowsill and off the other side. All we saw was a white and black blur zoom past the window.

Oh bless! She looks gorgeous!
My cat is one for boxes - recently we bought something (can't remember what!) in a very long thin cardboard box. We opened one end, took the contents out, and Poppy squeezed in. She got all the way to the other end (the box was about 8ft long!!!) and realised that it was sealed up - she had to reverse out and then sat with her bum sticking out of the end!

Hi jlottie Roxy looks very much like Charlie Plocket - charlie used to love climbing into boxes too. Once he climbed into a hoover box then reversed out - but some how managed to get brown tape stuck to his tail. - you should have seen him run.! ;D - Shouldn't laugh really but it was so funny at the time. - He raced round the garden at 90 MPH with the tape stuck to his bum. - it took me about ten minutes to catch him. - Loved him to bits.

Oh Charlie sounds lovely - Poppy hates it if she gets anything like sticky tape on her - she literally freaks, rather like your Charlie. Sounds as though you've got some good memories of him!

Hi Plocket. Wonderful memories - I've had five cats over the years. Charlie Ziggy mitzy Crackers and Titch. I lost Charlie earlier this year. - It broke my heart. We came back from a short break and he wasn't very well. - off his food etc. I took him to the vets and was told he had kidney failure, nothing could be done. I had to do the kindest thing and put him out of his misery. He was my baby before the children were born, followed me everywhere. When I was pregnant he would sit on my bump or on the arm of the chair looking at me. When Big M was born I worried that he would be Jealous. - But he just sat their watching over her - like he was guarding her. He was very special.! Titch is the only one alive now. (Charlie's mum) - But she moved out when I took in Mizty (2 girl cats don't get on very well.) She lives down the road. I see her most days and she has the life of riley. - pampered to the hilt.- own bed, own chair etc. She even gets carried upstairs to bed. ( 15 years old next year) - She is very happy though and well looked after what more can I ask for. Sorry I've gone on, but when everyone talks about their cats it reminds me of all the things that my cats got upto.

Sorry Plocket & All Just re-read my message and thought it was a bit sad.... Earlier today I was looking for a cat Avatar and found this www.fluffytails.ca/christmas.asp Hope all you cat lovers enjoy it as much as I did. Titch & Crackers used too climb our christmas tree when they were young. Alicat.

Aw Alicat - I'm sorry it made you sad, but at the same time they are lovely memories. Poppy is going on 16 now and I worry that she won't be with us much longer. There's nothing wrong with her but I'm a worrier. We'll always have wonderful memories of her though.
The website was fantastic - I'm going to save it to show LP. Poppy has shown lots of interest in our real tree this year (it's become the latest scratching post!) but doesn't care much for the fake one we've had in the past. Sigh.

My friend had a cat that used to sit in the christmas tree, scared me half to death when I came downstairs and saw a pair of eyes staring at me from inside the tree.

Hi Plocket Don't worry that it made me sad, I have lots of wonderful memories of all my cats. When I read other peoples stories of their cats it makes me smile. I know what you mean, worrying about Poppy. - You can't help it. They become part of your family. Glad you liked the website. Has LP seen it yet? - what did she think.? Alicat. x
