I've no idea why Tigger settled in the bathroom sink, although he doesn't look completely happy - I told him that there are plenty of other "soft" places to relax!! ;D

My sister's cat used to sleep in the bathroom sink but she never used to get out while you washed your hands either. Strange animal.

He's beautiful! Isn't it a bit wet in there? Or maybe it's warm in there.

I "lost" my persian the other week and then heard a faint stratching sound. She'd crawled underneat the spare bed and into one of the drawers and couldn't get out!

My old cat, Mabel used to like sitting in the tumble dryer..we always had to check it before we turned it on...she also quite liked the top of our fridge freezer when we had one.. Got a pic somewhere...but it'll need scanning in etc. CPBx

I expect that was a real worry when Mabel was a kitten - I always double check before switching on the washing machine when we have a new kitten in the house

I love the photos! Tigger reminds me of a friends cat that always sat in the bidet. The bathroom was at the top of the stairs so he had a brilliant view of a lot of the house, and the front door. He might not have been comfortable but he had a wondeful look-out post!
My cat doesn't sleep anywhere unusual - she always sleeps on our deep windowsill in the front room. It's a pretty good spot really because she can see what's going on outside, when the local cats and dogs go for a walk, and she can check on the weather. In the winter there's a radiator to keep her warm, and in the summer the sun shines in for much of the day. It's a tough life!!!

Oh bless her!
We made the mistake of getting a bird table like that when we first moved up here - the birds were daft because Poppy would sit under it and then when lots of them were feeding she'd leap and take one out. She went through quite a few starlings and we had to get rid of the bird table. She's more keen on mice these days and I guess is keeping the population down in the garden.

We stopped using the bird table not long after that photo was taken. I now use poll feeders

Much safer - we do the same! Poppy doesn't really catch birds now - I found the last one she caught flying around the sitting room one morning!!! Actually saying that she's never really been a great one for catching anything really, but LP and I did spot a mouse in the garden in the summer, which has probably bred. Easy pickings for a cat I guess, almost like putting the on a plate for her. Poor little things.

We had a cat called Jasmine who liked to sleep in our bathroom basins. They are round and cat shaped. We had another who felt the same about fruit baskets but that was pre digital cameras. Here are some photos:- uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/obelixxbe/album?.dir=/de8dscd&.src=phSacha got depressed when Casper was abandoned here so didn't look after her fur and wouldn't let us groom her so she ended up in knots. We asked the vet to trim her tum but he did a radical cut instead - in February poor thing! She slept in our bed for the next week. Jasmine's nesting box was a project made by some visiting children. All their own work. Casper is definitely a blonde. Zazu is a gentleman.

Obelixx - I couldn't see your photo's - if Yahoo is like photobucket you have to check a box somewhere allowing other people to view photo's.

Obelixx - I couldn't see your photo's - if Yahoo is like photobucket you have to check a box somewhere allowing other people to view photo's. Yes Rita, I have the same problem and it makes no difference signing into Yahoo. Obelixx, if you log into your Yahoo account and click on the album containing the photos, you should see a hotlink entitled Privacy settings. Click on this and make sure that the 'Public' option is ticked/checked, and then click save. Spruance

Thanks for all the kind comments. I've just added one of Casper sitting in the glasses cupboard. Stupid boy.
Everyone's cats and kittens look lovely and I adore gingers and greys but OH says no more, especially since Sacha turned into a kitten hating monstrous beastie. Shes's calmer now and daft as a brush when he's not in sight but rather naughty, if no longer murderous, when he is.
A former cat had her kittens on her bed the night we got back from honeymoon. She must have had her legs crossed for a week waiting for us. After it was all over she allowed us to move them all to OH's cricket bag which we had prepared under the bed but we had to move them to the box room because of all the loud purring and slurping noises through the night.

Moring all. As I've said we don't have cats any more but the neibours cats have adopted our garden. They are called Fudge (mum) & Cassie.(fudge's baby.) Cassie Fudge. This is where I found cassie one evening. Sorry about the pictures. - The light was fading. She is sat on an old conifer trunk that we left tall for the kids. The picture below shows what I did To stop her getting stuck Again.

Hi Plocket.
The trunk was supposed to be made into a totem pole. But it never happened. The kids just like climbing up it (and cats) - which is fine. It's their area of the garden.

Hi Sleepysunday sorry for the delay only just catching up on some posts. Madame was only the drawer for part of the morning whilst I was at work. I go home at lunchtime and always check on both the cats. I hope she wasn't there for more than an hour or so. Needless to say she hasn't ventured upstairs again!!
Instead she's walking along the window cills knocking all my African Violets over instead!

That good :-)
My next door neighbours cat Crystal died last week. She was 19. She used to come in and help herself to my cats food. I didn't mind, and they didn't mind (I think they knew she was old), but she was comical because as she couldn't see very well she used to come in growling and hissing 'just in case' my cats Merlin or Bo were around :-)
