Blimey, How big's you allotment? I have 2 allotments Dr Bill, I think hes bought it for me so he wont have to help me dig! I have no clue whether Ill be able to control it. Its a "Farmers Boy Garden Tractor " and it may well have been on "The good life"! OH is a mechanic, so he sees its beauty, where others might not......

Wow what a gift. In case it is too much too handle I bet he will be very willing to help you with it. I just thought it can even make you money for plants/seeds/the lot. Rent it out to other lot owners. ;D Or lend it to them in exchange for garden goodies ( you will need a good damage clause in your insurance though) Dutchy Oh and yes it is very romantic

Coo, what a beast (the machine - not your OH!). Blimey Sweetleaf, be careful when you use it or you'll have ploughed a huge furrow all round everyone's allotments and most of Birmingham before it's run out of petrol!

Yep...I'm lovin' your contraption!! ;D Will you ever be able to get it out of the OH's hands and use it yourself? Looks like it made a good enough job of ploughing. My offer still stands of fetching it up to York....

A lot like that actually Rita except its green and has no trailer, OH is slipping all over the place in the video clip shown earlier in the thread because it was pulling him about, so it has some power, IMHO!
