Yes it could I think, but I think it might have to have a special type of licence if you used it as a vehicle other than off-road, those ride on lawn mowers that the council use on verges do, I believe.

That's got some power behind it Sweetleaf! I've got an old photo on my home PC of my late Grandad ploughing with a hand plough and two horses, in the early 1920's, but doing much the same thing as your OH.
It's not a brilliant photo, and I had to 'doctor' it when I first scanned it in, but I will try to post it on GWD.

It is hard work, but especially if you have forgotten to take it out of gear when turning, which was my mistake, my back played up for days after that! Ive had another go since and I concentrated on it a bit better and found that it really only needs to be held onto..... it does all the work once you know what you are doing That clip shows the scythe atachment at work, I wish it was clearer, ;D ;D because it really made a great job of the nettles!

We had a "sponsored silence" in here last night! Ill see how long he can put up with me not speaking to him, far more effective than arguing, and a lot less traumatic to the kids.
He moved a lot of his stuff to the garage already....

Sweetleaf I'm going to have to stop going to work as I've only just read this and found out that you are now the 'proud' owner of 3 garden boy tractors and 1 ride on tractor. Surely your OH realises that you (and Him for that matter) can only use 1 at a time!! Has he metioned the immortal phrase "they'll be handy for spares", if so I'd be worried and continue the Sponsored Silence!! GH

GH Yes indeed the spares were brought up, while I was busy not replying...I dont ignore him BTW, listening is good ammo for later. He has to fill the silence with something and ends up telling me things he never intended to say.....

I'm always worried when the word 'spares' is mentioned, or that other great favourite 'it might be useful'. A pal of the OH has a garage full of such things, and he has a habit of saving bits of wood which might be useful, one day he was saving abit of wood that was about 2" long for that very reason (useful), even the OH was amazed!! Tis rather worrying what he may have got you for Christmas...... GH

OMG Christmas! Youre not wrong GH it could be a disaster....Ill let you know , Im not buying him anything at all, he seems to be buying his own "presents" theres not an unlimited amount of cash, even though he seems to think so, the ride-on tractor is costing £550 mental!

Sweetleaf, I really feel for you I would go absoultely mad and then I would get revenge I think it was 4P who suggested it, you should "suddenly" get yourself a hobby which involves "large items" preferably pink and see how he likes it

£550, he's gone stark raving mad. May I suggest going out and buying yourself something really luxurious, wrapping it up and putting it under the tree, then on Christmas Morning opening it and saying 'oh thank you darling just what I wanted'... and see how he reacts!! Could be amusing!! BTW, you do realise I'll now have to be logged on on Xmas day to find out what he does get you!!!!

I havent ever done "luxury" GH! I wouldnt really know where to start!
I could do with some warm boots and a new coat though.. perhaps some gloves and a scarf to go with it, but even then I couldnt spend the money.... its so difficult to spend on myself. Typical mum really.

Typical mum really. OMG, I wish I was in the Birmingham area cos I'd drag you down the shops right now....even if you were kicking and screaming and I'd make you buy yourself a new coat with matching gloves and scarf. (Although these are essential and not luxury IMO) You can tell I don't have kids and so don't have that Mum thing!! Get some Luxury gloves for yourself, Dents leather ones with a silk lining are devine (and warm) and a box of fancy chocs!! The shops are calling you Sweetleaf................
