Stop worrying!!! Sounds yummy and he is probably grateful not having to cook for once !
And get the milkshake cocktail recipe from Skarloey , have a couple of them before dinner and then you wont worry about anything!

OMG OMG OMG .......... Just had a call from my friend who's coming tomorrow night. Mr Chef had asked her to call to enquire as to what we would be eating so that he'd know what wine to bring I'm terrified........................................ If you like white wine then suggest chardonnay goes well with your mains, if red is your tipple then (and it is allowed with chicken tarragon) a pinot noir would suit. White - Tell him you are particularly partial to Domaine Leflaive, Les Pucelles 2001 especially as it is 75 quid a bottle! Red - You'll like a bottle or two of Domaine Ramonet La Boudriotte 2001. It is a cheaper option too at a mere £36 a bottle Fresh fruit dessert - Any old Viognier or Vouvray (dry) or an auslese/spatlese if you like medium sweet will probably do as you'll be sloshed by then ;D Capt. Susie that menu sounds absolutely delicious. Do as much as you can in the way of preparing and pre-cooking so that you don't have so much to worry about. And try and get your OH to help a bit so that the load is shared. Have a lovely time and try not to worry too much. Easy for me to say but he is a friend after all, and it isn't a job interview. Oooh and if friend is worried about what wine to bring tell them to bring champagne!!!!! Good luck sweetie - can't wait to hear how it goes <hug> Px

Sooooz
Sounds delightful. Any room at the table for a little 'un ? How about for a big 'un !!!
If it's red you're after, a nice Chateau Neuf Du Pape (is that how you spell it ? I prefer to drink it than read the bloody label !! ;D) always goes down well.
Have a good time.

I am hungry just reading your menu!!! If he is asking about wine at least you know he drinks. As a chef he should be able to bring something wonderful to complement your food.Be generous, keep filling glasses and ENJOY. Waiting to hear all about the wonderful time you had ( in a couple of days when your hangover has abated).

Hi Susie,
Hmmmm, I dunno if the alcoholic milkshake is actually a knicker loosener an aperitif or a dessert! Here it is though:
Shot sizes are up to you! 2 shots Baileys 1 shot Kahlua (coffee liqueur) 1 shot whisky or brandy (or like us both ;D) Glug of milk Glug of cream
Shake it up and serve sprinkled with chocolate dust! Preferably in ridiculous fancy cocktail glasses with a fancy stirrer! Oh crap, it's only 8.44am and now I really want one!!!!
Hope all goes well for you tonight...... are they worth missing GW for? ;D
P.S as you get more and more pissed, don't be afraid to experiment with the ingredients! You'll probably find you have to anyway as stuff starts to run out! Just make sure you have plenty of Baileys and Kahlua as these are the KEY ingredients. Oh and never put fruit juice in as it will curdle or wine glasses with the remnants of wine in as this also curdles it! I'm an expert! ;D

Well, everything's prepared now, except me!! Our guests are arriving at 7.30 - I'm actually quite looking forward to it now. I'm going to stay online for most of the night, just incase anything goes wrong and I can nip upstairs and cry for help ;D
