I have a little boy with me who would like to say thank you to Rosefriend and show her what he grew from the seeds she sent him. He loves it and is going to try and save the seeds from it for next year He also thinks these pics are beautiful and gives them a vote for GN's sunflower Chuckles and for your beautiful rose Rosefriend!

One from me.. RF beautiful Rosefriend. Mine only recently started to open. It's a pity they're so low down although thankfully I have one lot climbing up some canes.

Thanks Ladygardener - I decided this year to have nasturtiums in hanging baskets as well - small ones - as I was fed up with Geraniums etc... I do have a tub with climbing ones as well.... I had forgotten how quickly they set seed though. RF

My Inulas are beginning to unfurl - I find them fascinating. A bud - The bud unfurling - The open flower! This is a tile I made of the whole process last year.

This was in a pack of mixed lillies from the GC I think this is a turks cap, it's just about to be surrounded by a pumpkin having a sprawl around

Oh I rather like that Barbara - I think it is a turks cap lily as well and whether it likes it or not it will have a rather close relationship with a pumpkin...lily and pumpkin pie perhaps??!! RF

I was at the allotment for a short while this morning and was delighted to find Dahlia Seattle in full bloom. It's a wonderful shade of yellow and I'm well pleased with it, it was a new one this year. Although the pic does'nt show it, the flower is as big as my hand although the plant stems are about 100cm so not too tall. I hope I have another one to bloom but in my garden.
