Rosefriend,Jilly,Ladygardener, thank you for the noms. Very kind. LG I wouldn't be without the rudbeckia fulgida. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any sign of the Irish Eyes one that I had last year.

I think it is possibly more of an annual one Ladygardener, and I may have been a little too efficient dead-heading it so it didn't get a chance to produce seeds.

After posting my 1st ever lily in the white and cream thread ( it said white on the label )

It's most definitely Yellow

Looks like something a certain Mr Samuel McGredy IV may well have bred.





(How are the bees supposed to find the pollen.....Is there any pollen?)

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. The bees can do their job. I have ignored her for weeks, she is still flowering and the flowers do open fully. She is yellow so possible not McGredy. She has the silly pointed bud and bronze tinged/edge to juvenile leaves that go with China/Tea genes. She has to be a HT(spit). Having said she does not look too bad in full bloom. Still trying to identify her.

Even if it is a HT fozzie, it is rather pretty and the shot is lovely...

 Very lovely indeed fozzie, great shape to the petals. I like the way the crocosmia has got in on the act for a perfect colour match

A little bit of yellow....this Rudbeckia Tiger's Eye has flowered like mad all summer and is still going strong!

I bought it as a plant for an instant splash of colour Ladygardener and it has tripled in size and not stopped flowering - it's certainly doing value for money!

Finally got around to seeing all the posts - Mahonia is one thing that I don't have - definately a thunk for the future Jilly, as the yellow is wonderful in dreary days, and a plus for the bees!!
